I purchased 20 lights to cover a 36 x 48 shop. The lights are hung at 12' and give off great light. I only have about half of the lights installed so far but these lights are exactly what I was looking for. The pricing is great. I have only had them up for a short time so I can't comment on how long they last but so far so good.

As I have gotten older I need better lighting to see what I'm working on. I already had 2 hanging 4' fluorescent fixtures in the ceiling, and due to adding some lines I was able to add 2 more, so I have 4 of these in my garage. I already had the chains up for 2 lights, those you can install in about 5 minutes apiece, hook up the chains, and click it to on. I wired 2 so they come on when you flip the overhead lights on, and wired 2 with an old fashioned string, to turn them on individually. These lights are not "soft white", I suspect their K rating is around 4-5,000, the "temperature" of the light is bright white, which means it really lights up your work bench, or my meat smoking table so you can see everything. Takes about a half second to turn on, they glow a bit during shutoff. I don't know if the lumen rating of the LED is that much more than a standard light, but they are much brighter, I had two up side by side and the LED was way brighter. The garage is unheated so I will have to see if they work the same in winter. The tubes lights are significantly dimmer during winter cold. I suspect these may outlast me, even if one or two LED's burn out, I expect them to still work.

These lights are bright and clear works great in my Upholstery Shop.

Installation is very easy. The LEDs are brighter than the 40 watt fluorescent shop light I had. No flickering or hum associated with the fluorescent lights. Could use a longer pull chain.

Initially put 6 of these in my 24x26 shop to replace some old fluorescents. Wow! It is lit up now. I promise 3x brighter than brand new bulbs before. Instant on in any weather. Like them so much I purchased 4 more for the garage.

I bought one about 6 mos ago. It is a great light...Made in USA!!! It is super bright and does not get warm to the touch so it can be mounted right up against just about anything. I am going back to get two more.

Great light output. I purchased 9 lights, One of the nine did not work out of the box. Would of gave it 5 stars if one wasn't DOA. They come with chain, hooks and cord.

Disappointed these lights aren't in the store anymore. Love the lights. If you are looking for a energy efficient and bright light, I would recommend you buy these online.well worth the price!

My father inlaw was using 3 single medium base bulb fixtures to light his over sized 2 car garage. i have replaced those 3 with a total of 8 of these 40 watt lights. Lets just say he won't have any issues seeing!! I will be buying more my next trip for other projects.

We originally bought the Lights of America shoplights to go over bedroom windows (7 of them). Liked them so much, we put one in my Mother's garage, and 3 more in our garage. Lot's of light! Don't know how reliable they are as these all went in in the last 6 months... But at this point, I would definitely recommend these lights for their brightness and ease of installation (plug them in!).
