As I have gotten older I need better lighting to see what I'm working on. I already had 2 hanging 4' fluorescent fixtures in the ceiling, and due to adding some lines I was able to add 2 more, so I have 4 of these in my garage. I already had the chains up for 2 lights, those you can install in about 5 minutes apiece, hook up the chains, and click it to on. I wired 2 so they come on when you flip the overhead lights on, and wired 2 with an old fashioned string, to turn them on individually. These lights are not "soft white", I suspect their K rating is around 4-5,000, the "temperature" of the light is bright white, which means it really lights up your work bench, or my meat smoking table so you can see everything. Takes about a half second to turn on, they glow a bit during shutoff. I don't know if the lumen rating of the LED is that much more than a standard light, but they are much brighter, I had two up side by side and the LED was way brighter. The garage is unheated so I will have to see if they work the same in winter. The tubes lights are significantly dimmer during winter cold. I suspect these may outlast me, even if one or two LED's burn out, I expect them to still work.

I put 7 of these in my garage and gym (2 per bay, 2 in the gym and 1 in the hall) and they are extremely bright. I had my light boxes prewired as outlets to accommodate this type light, so it was very much plug and play installation... Took 5-10 mins per light to unpack and hang. They come on at full brightness with about a 2 second delay from the time I flip the switch. Very happy with the purchase and will likely buy more.

I purchased 20 lights to cover a 36 x 48 shop. The lights are hung at 12' and give off great light. I only have about half of the lights installed so far but these lights are exactly what I was looking for. The pricing is great. I have only had them up for a short time so I can't comment on how long they last but so far so good.

So far they have been very good lights. The light are very bright and make my current florescent ones look old and dingy. I started replacing the florescent fixtures in the garage when they go bad with the LED's, The light is so much brighter with the LED's that I won't need as many fixtures in the garage. A definite good buy!

I bought these six months ago and could not be happier. I was so tired of the florescent lights I had that kept having issues. These lights a fantastic. They gave me more light than my florescents ever did and cost reduction for operation was a fantastic bonus. Easy to hang and I just installed receptacles between two bulbs and plugged them in and ready to go. They are light weight so easy to handle while installing. I am going back for more. I also installed one over my desk.

I bought one of these in a local Sam"s club, I liked it so much I ordered 7 more online. These are well made, love the fact they have a pull chain and the best part is that they are bright, they put any florescent light to shame! It also helps that these are very reasonable in price, love these lights.
