Grinding operation overfills grounds cup. Grind operation not time controllable unless you shut off power. Plastic overall seems sort of cheaply made/thin. Does not hold much water, maybe 3 -10 oz cups before needs re filling. Makes good coffee, just concerned about durability.

When I purchased this coffeemaker, my goal was to limit myself to two cups of caffeinated brew (doctor's orders) then switch to decaf. Not only am I able to have coffee my way (decaf is in the grinder and caffeinated ground in a container) but it's quick and I love it! Not having to use K cups is simple and no waste/recycle and no pot sitting on an heating element. Overall less coffee is used because there's no waste from left over coffee in the pot getting pitched out. I did purchase a couple more of the reusable pods for guests (no clean up between cups) and the reusable pods clean up nicely by hand washing or in the top rack of the dishwasher. I just might give one or two as Christmas gifts this year!

Really like this coffee maker. Great to be able to grind your beans and then go right into making your coffee. It makes a nice strong cup and is very quiet and brewing. Unfortunately, you cannot fit a normal size to go cup under the coffee repository, and when you grind it spits grounds everywhere.

Machine works as designed. 2 problems, grind brew is too course, Coffee is weak as a result Changing cup size only adds more water and makes brew too weak. Needs a larger Brew cup so more grinds can be added and an adjustment to grind additional coffee for larger cups and stronger coffee.

This is my first espresso machine. Its a beginner one, of course, but it works well. The coffee ground suit what my taste buds like. I like that I can use while beans. Ground coffee or "k-cup" type. I do have to say the only negative is that after you grind and remove the brewer cup grounds continue to fall out of the grinder, making a mess..... I put a shot glass underneath to catch it, but it tends to go everywhere. Wish it had an option to close the grinder to combat sweeping up grounds continously.

Works well with two exceptions: First, the 8 ou cup setting actually delivers 10 ou, so getting a strong cup of coffee is tough, even when using the strongest coffee beans. Second, there's always a teaspoon or two of coffee that's wasted after using the grinder. They do supply a drip tray that catches most of it but a counter cleanup is needed after each fresh grind. If you use pods, no issues.

From the moment I got it the k cup kept exploding back into the machine. I did everything that was suggested to fix it and finally called cuisinart and was told to return it. Now the item is no longer available where I bought it so I'm getting a different brand. I did really like it when it worked properly that is the only reason it is getting so many stars. Only had it 3 weeks.

I've had this coffee maker on my counter for several weeks and use it joyfully multiple times a day. It's easy, compact, clean, and quiet. I love having the option for freshly ground coffee (which is the majority use), pre-ground coffee, and pods. I am the sole coffee drinker in my family and wanted something that didn't take up much space, where I could have a fresh cup whenever desired. This machine fits the bill. If I had to make a complaint, it would be the lack of fun color options. If they ever come up with a soft green version, I'm getting it!

I like that the coffee is hot and the ease and speed of this machine

Not easy to use and ounces were off. 12oz. was maybe 10, etc.
