Trying to love it

I have heard and read great things about the Garmin products. I wanted to switch to Garmin because my Apple Watch kept dying after workouts. The Garmin just isn’t what I was hoping for so far. It doesn’t track my treadmill workouts, so far. (It’s -5 degrees right now, so I’m not going outside) It will track my heart rate, but not the distance. I also have to put it on my ankle for it to track any activity on the treadmill. I also can’t stand that I can’t see my calendar on the watch face. I love the look of the watch though!

really nice for me

this is everything (so far) that ive expected in a health watch, there are a few things which I would have liked to be better for my taste. the 3S band for me is a bit on the short size ( its on the last eye but again to my taste i really dont care for the bigger watch face hense the 3S instead of the 3 but i cannot score down due to my taste. the other item (which is on me as well) I use an Elliptical everyday & a few times I have forgotten to turn off the timmer so in my report it appears like im on it for multi hours. wish there was a alert for inactivity. the features from walking (no running for me due to health issues) show the route that was taken i like a lot. this is my first Garmin watch (ive used garmin for several GPS units for the road & biking) & to this point am happy with my decision for this unit. just wish there band was a bit longer

Depends on what you want to use it for!

I have not yet used the voice assistant feature, which was partly one of the selling points for me on this one. But that's partly my fault, cause I never really used the voice assistant on my phone anyway? I think this item is really great for someone new to Garmin that isn't doing any spectacularly outdoor activities requiring maps. I have the Fenix for when I am doing multiday hikes or multi sport activities. It does not let me pause and resume a bike ride like the Fenix can. I do like this for daily wear though since it is lightweight and pretty. I love the new meditation feature and the music and birds it plays while I do that stuff. (My previous watch was a Fenix 5S. I do not use many of those capabilities day to day, but it has gotten me out of the mountains i was lost in a couple times. :D)

Game Changer

I love this new Venu watch!! Way more informative with my runs and more workout options to have your watch follow. Love the sleep tracking, how the watch can get less bright and change to a more subtle. My biggest complaint is that no one has ever told me that the heart rate monitor will NOT be accurate if you have a tattoo on your wrist. That being said, I did purchase this thinking my old one didn’t work but it would have if I had worn it on my other wrist. Not money wasted but might have waited a little before this expensive purchase. Worth the money but don’t like it on my right wrist cause that’s backwards for a right handed person. The tracking is spot on and hasn’t dropped my heart rate at all so major plus. Enjoy

Loveee this watch!!

I’ve had this watch for a few weeks and I’m so happy with It. I switched from an Apple Watch and i don’t miss It at all. Battery life is great , only have to charge It every 5-7 days. Workout and sleep tracking is very impressive. Not to mention, the watch is also very stylish! Love It! Get yourself one

Great watch

I got this as a Christmas gift and absolutely love it!!! It’s sleek and prerty but also useful. The screen is very crisp and bright. Going from the Fenix 7s to this and glad I made the change. Loved the Fenix but didn’t take advantage of all the bells and whistles.

Great Apple Watch replacement

This watch, specifically the 3rd generation, offers so many great features that helps bridge the gap between the Apple Watch and Garmin. Receive and reply to texts, answer calls, all with a reasonable battery life of 5-10 days in full use mode. The new resolution on the screen is a welcomed change as well. I'm pretty anti-bezel. So my only change for the next generation is a smaller bezel.

Better than expected!

I have only had this for a couple weeks so I am still getting used to the functions. Slightly disappointed that the vibration for the alarm is not as strong as my last competitor’s tracker. I did have to order a longer band in order to fit without a mark. It is harder to count steps than my last tracker but mowing grass does not count steps pushing my mower. I will need to head to the forums to figure out how to get credit for that. Otherwise the watch is great and has so many different levels to track and review. Overall I am satisfied with it and hope there can be updates to the issues I have via a software update.

Mixed bag

I bought my Garmin Venu 3s to replace a Fitbit that I had become frustrated with. There are things I like and things that I don’t like because they don’t make sense or are not useful to me. The watch synchs flawlessly (so far) with the app—that’s great. There’s lots of good information to dig into and use for fitness/heath improvement. The bad: Sleep scores do not take individual sleep needs into account. I have never slept more than 7 hours in my entire life, but Garmin arbitrarily decided I need 8 hours 40 minutes sleep and consistently downgrades my sleep score and tells me I slept poorly, despite excellent ratings for deep, light and REM sleep, along with waking up feeling refreshed and energetic after 6.5-7 hours. I practice good sleep hygiene and already engage in all the recommendations to “improve” my sleep quality. On fitbit with similar metrics, I consistently earned scores in the high 80s and low 90s. My Venu scores are in the mid 60s to low 70s with ratings of poor or fair. Despite claiming to track multiple types of exercise, tracking for yoga, strength training or barre classes is useless, because you have to hit start and stop after each pose, set or exercise and enter what you did, which disrupts the flow of your workout. It is only useful for tracking cardio. It is unclear what metrics it uses to determine your “stress” level, as it indicates high stress at times when I am calm, peaceful and relaxed. I have not decided if it is a good fit for me. Overall the Fitbit charge model seems like the better product.

Great with the exception of the battery life.

This is a replacement because my original ones Battery life declined to 3 days in less then six months Originally it lasted 6-7. The one I have now is not lasting as long either, I may get 4 days out of a charge so it’s disappointing because I left my Apple watch for this only because of the battery life.
