They pull up and down like big kid underwear and have the best feeling material as most disposables feel like cheap plastic. The fit is a little off for us - since they're pull on, I think it's perhaps better to size down when between sizes. htis is because the sides can stretch to expand but they can't really contract, whereas with a regular diaper you could just adjust the sides straps to be tighter. I loved that the sides are very easy to rip open when needed.
