Wow, what a genius idea! I was super excited to try these!! Like French fried onions, which I love, only pickles! The flavor is great. So far I've only tried them plain, right out of the bag like potato chips, and also sprinkled on top of egg salad. Plain, they kind of have a cardboard after taste, but on top of the egg salad they were amazing! I'm planning to try them on top of lots of other things soon, too. I think that they will get soggy if mixed into moist dishes, but they'll still be a great flavor addition. I was very excited to try these ranch flavored Crispy Dillies because I absolutely love dill pickles, and loved the idea of crispy dill pickles fried like a chip. The suggestions on the package for trying them on mac and cheese or burgers got my tastebuds watering, and I couldn't wait to surprise my family with an old family favorite dish, but with a new twist. I first tried them out by eating a few straight out of the bag like a potato chip, which I would not recommend, because it absolutely was NOT love at first bite, and my first impression was not favorable!! By themselves, they had a strong, strange taste and a long lasting aftertaste that I cannot describe. I didn't dismiss them just yet, and I figured they might be just like French Fried Onions that I put in and on green bean casserole. By themselves, they are not very good, but in a casserole or other dish, they are outstanding and absolutely amazing. So, I tried them out on a baked macaroni and cheese dish, and boy was I glad I did!!! They were above Amazing!!
