I had purchased a bag and thought maybe I got a bad batch. But I've since bought two more, waiting a bit in between purchase to just make sure. But low and behold, the recipe has indeed changed. The taste is inconsistent and I don't even know how to describe it. It can be easily covered with syrup or seasoning. But the texture. I don't know what it is, but the texture is terrible. It makes me want to gag. I will not be purchasing anymore. I've switched brands on a lot of products and this was one of the only things that I still liked Morningstar the best. It was a solid product that I had enjoyed for over 15 years. Major disappointment.

For many years these breakfast patties have been our go to sausage patties for breakfast. I cannot understand why a company would change such a great product to something that has a mushy center, poor texture on the outside and is really bland in flavor. I guess the company execs just do not get it. At least the company should give an option for the original style. I tried every way cook them, no difference. I just quit buying them until a the original is back.

The consistency is terrible now, very soggy and loosely formed as opposed to the past when they were slightly greasy, delicious and tasted like real and deeply complex sausage. I'm so bummed, this used to be a staple of my diet. They also often spark in the microwave which is highly suspicious and warrants questioning what is going on ingredient-wise.

We have been eating these original sausage patties for YEARS - like 17? 18? Years. Suddenly they're different. Different texture, stronger flavor. No longer delicious. We used to look forward to eating these. After several days of eating the “new version” and not enjoying them, I'm done. Hanging up my 18yo habit. I have yet to find a replacement as good In flavor and in texture as the original version of these “original” flavor sausages. but the new ones have got to go. Sadly, no thanks. Why the change? Did the pandemic affect your supply chain? They were wildly popular - I had to rush to the store in the morning of freezer-stocking day to get these! I'd rather go without and wait for weeks than eat this new version.

I loved the old flavor of MorningStar Farms Original Sausage Patties I have been eating them for years, so I don't know why you changed the flavor or maybe started using cheaper ingredients but your sausage patties taste horrible now. I use to recommend sausage patties to people all the time no matter if they were vegetarians or not your patties were just that good can't recommend them now. Please change the flavor back to the original patties.

Here I am a year and half later with nothing that replaces these once great sausage patties. Can the original please be brought back?? Can you not have a vegetarian and vegan option? When this changed I honestly thought that the bag was just rancid. The other vegan options do not taste bad, it is just this one, my favorite! Please bring back the original recipe. Thank you.

I don't know why you guys change your sausage patties to vegan but let me tell that was the worst decision you guys could of made. They don't taste the same in a good way and texture is like a paste or mush, which is disgusting. Before you changed the recipe it had a very good flavor and better firm taste. Yeah i understand people are going vegan but not everyone wants to make that change, especially at the price of taste of a product. What you should have done was leave the original recipe and made a vegan for the people that want vegan. You have lost a loyal customer that enjoyed your patties for more than 10 years.

I have eaten this product for years. I made two one from an older bag and another from a new bag. My 3 year old said this one is yucky. I tried it and instantly noticed the difference. It's bland and mushhyyy. I can't believe they made this change to the product. We are more than disappointed as this was a go to for veggie sausage.

Unfortunately, MorningStar Farms decided to change the recipe, so this product has become a lot less delicious. The old texture used to have a nice chewy texture, and the flavor was much better. The new version, which they term original, has no texture and much less flavor. Please bring back the old version.

We've been eating these for many years…our kids have been eating them since they could chew food. They have always been a staple in our household…until now. The new formula is AWFUL. They're mealy and sticky…what happened!? Please go back to the old way!!! These are downright gross. Seriously disappointed.
