Definitely feels like a high quality ice cream and thought that it was really cool that I could list the ingredients on one hand and could tell what they were. At my food lion there was only the one size and would like to see more variety.

I always considered Haagen-Dazs a premium brand, so was extremely disappointed when I tasted the vanilla ice cream. It had an icy texture and reminded me of freezer burn. I checked the expiration date assuming it must be bad, but after reading reviews I see others experience the same. Disappointed.

I like vanilla mostly because I usually doctor it up by making shakes with real fruit or sundaes with syrup and nuts (Mrs. Richardson's chocolate fudge is my favorite). The Haagen Dazs vanilla is tops in my book, and I've tried them all. Tillamook comes in a close second, but nothing else is close. The reason…. Pure taste and creamy flavor! When I want just ice cream sans toppings, I go for the Haagen Dazs cherry vanilla… simply awesome!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a little concerned after opening my container of Haagen-dazs Vanilla Ice Cream. It was missing the black specs I was so used to seeing. I wasn't disappointed at the rich, sweet creamy flavor however. I love how it is made without artificial flavors. I was not disappointed!
