I used this model in the crazy-hot Dallas summer, and it worked fairly well. I bought a bigger BTU unit than the space required, but it still didn't get that cool. Luckily, it got a rest in the winter months. Overall it lasted 16 months until it died. DEFINITELY buy the extended warranty.

I had trouble finding a window AC unit in October in Florida ??? I ended up going to a different store and purchasing this unit. I am very glad I did. Our AC system had broken and this window unit did very well at keeping us and our handicapped son cool until our AC was replaced.

I bought this back in May of 2016. I have used it all summer and love the automatic modes on this model of air conditoner. Cools very well and automatical shuts itself off when it reaches the preset temperature you set. Always keeps the room at the right temperature all day long. Highly recommended. Very good unit for the price.

I bought this air conditioner to try and cool my office which has South and West exposure. This means it gets unbearably hot and humid at the end of the day, but is also uncomfortable to the majority hours from 10 AM - 7 PM. The thing is, I have 14 foot tall ceiling in my 19th century south Alabama house and the square footage calculations don't work for my situation. I need cooling and dehumidification so that I can feel comfortable in my office, which was a mess until I got this little beauty. As soon as I installed it -- within an hour or so -- the room was 40% cooler than normal. The built-in thermostat is helpful for easily regulating temperature. Imagine how much better this unit will run when I seal all the cracks in my window with foam. Anyway, I have had it installed for about two weeks, but so far it is doing great. I just registered the unit and I look forward to being able to report that is still working great a year from now. APPEARANCE: Product arrived with some dents and deformations and manual didn't say "don't worry about the unevenness, that's normal", so I'm guessing these deformities are not supposed to be there. They don't seem to be harming the operation of the unit though. Comes with a remote. Remote is good, a digital display on the remote would make it easier to know the temp in the room, but the built-in magnet is a neat feature that lets the remote hang on anything magnetic, so it is harder to lose. I purchased this on Sam's Club online. P.S.: If you are curious, my square footage is a roughly 225 ft sq.

I love this product. The room I am cooling is slightly bigger than the recommended size and it still keeps it cool. It was 92 outside with a real feel at 100 and it kept it a comfortable 71 inside. I just purchased this one new but the unit I had before I used for 4 years with no trouble.

Our summer got extended 5 days and the central air went out. I bought this on a 95 degree day and put it in the dining room window and it kept the entire 3 bedroom house cool. I am very impressed with how quiet the unit is and all the mounting hardware that came with it!

I bought this 12,000 btu window A/C unit for my tiny house. My house is 440 square foot and two separate rooms including a small bathroom..... This unit does the job! I live in Florida and our weather for summer is humid(wet) heat and since using this unit, I've not had ANY problems enjoying my beautiful tiny house!

This air conditioner really saved me during the summer months when the central air needed to be entirely replaced in my house. I was concerned that it wouldn't be powerful enough for the size of the room, but it did amazingly well even with the high ceilings. It kept my kitchen and living room area very cool. If I opened my bedroom door, it actually would cool that room a bit too. My only complaints are that it started to grow mold in about 3 months on the foam parts that were really hard to clean out. The thermostat seemed like it was a bit janky sometimes too but it wasn't a big deal to me. I would just need to manually adjust it when it started getting too warm and didn't seem to be kicking on. Overall I'm happy with it.

I bought the unit primarily for emergency use when we are on generator power. Checked it out, ran it to be certain that it performed as expected and it works well. It cools beautifully and quietly. The fact that it is energy efficient is a big plus.

My attic bedroom that's used for a office/craft room was a sweltering 90 degrees. After we got it installed a turned it on it cooled off in less than 5 minutes. I have a Canary and Nest sensor to let me know the temperature and humidity. They both showed the same. I'm more than pleased.
