Works wonders

I received the Seventh Generation dish soap for free. I was able to get all my dishes clean and there wasn't any residue at all from the soap. I even used it on the kitchen floor and it made my floor nice and clean, like never before. This is my go to dish soap for now on.

A year or so ago, I wrote you and complained about bottle you were then using--it was a poor design and it kept slipping out of my hand when it was wet and spilling on the kitchen floor. Even though my husband said my floor was the cleanest it had ever been, I was not happy. You said you were working on a new style, and I have recently bought a bottle. I am so pleased with it and now I won't have to change brands as I was ready to do. Also, I really like the Free and Clear. My dishwasher is temporarily out of order and the Free and Clear is easy on my hands as I wash dishes! All in all, you did good!

NOT SO EARTH FRIENDLY

They make this dish soap sound so Earth Friendly - but I recenlty broke out every time I did dishes. I looked up the word for their PRESERVATIVE online - Benzisothiazolinone (Biodegradable Preservative) There are PDFs online for this and states it is HAZARDOUS - and SKIN IRRITANT DO NOT BUY THIS I am going elsewhere or making my own homemade soap. this was taken from the PDF- Existing Worker Health and Safety Controls Hazard Classification Benzisothiazolinone is classified as hazardous, with the following hazard categories and hazard statements for human health in the Hazardous Chemical Information System (HCIS) (Safe Work Australia): The salts (CAS No. 38521-29-8; CAS No. 58249-25-5) are not listed on the HCIS (Safe Work Australia). Exposure Standards Acute toxicity – Category 4; H302 (Harmful if swallowed) Skin irritation – Category 2; H315 (Causes skin irritation) Skin sensitisation – Category 1; H317 (May cause an allergic skin reaction) Eye damage – Category 1; H318 (Causes serious eye damage)

Finally!

Seventh Generation really got this product right! I have always looked for a liquid dish soap that doesn't take more than a few seconds to rinse from my dishes and my hands! I'm a huge fan of their Free & Clear line, but this liquid dish soap is a great "bang for your buck". I've tried many, many liquid dish soaps only to find that they would just leave a residue on my dishes (and on my hands) when they were dry. This liquid dish soap cleans your dishes perfectly and rinses clean, quickly!

lets talk allergies

I had to dig up the rest of my lavender in the garden. I can't come any where near a lavender plant without coughing and wheezing. I use the seventh generation in the free and clear. This is the only choice for me. I also have eczema on my hands and I just don't have time to slip the gloves off and on to do the dishes. I haven't seen the new bottle yet but I am anxiously awaiting its arrival. I pour the dish soap in a competitors bottle! Unfortunately, our stores are only carrying the scented dish soap. I had to purchase mine through a coop. Buy the free and clear, you won't regret it!

Skin Rashes

Unfortunately I broke out in skin rashes all over my body at my sister's house because this dish soap contains methylisothiazolinone and benzisothiazolinone. (These chemicals become air borne and can cause rashes from breathing them). I am very grateful Seventh Generation discloses their ingredients so I knew the cause.

More plastic into the environment, nope

I have been using this product for many years, not only in the kitchen but also as a hand soap. I've always loved it. But my husband just came home with the "new size." They made the bottles now 19 oz instead of 25 oz! Nope, this isn't right. A company that cares about putting one-use plastics into the environment should be making large, refill sized bottles, not making them smaller. Unfortunately, this recent move is a deal breaker for me, and I'm on the search for a new brand. Shame on Unilever for ruining this product for me and losing a decade plus customer.

Disappointed, smaller bottles use more plastic

We have been buying SG for years. The rationales we are reading here for the smaller bottle at the same price are disappointing and feel dishonest. Smaller bottles mean MORE waste. This feels like it goes against your stated ethics and feels like a longabout way to raise prices. I think it's time to start looking for other products.

Clean and not smelly!

As a lifelong user of Dawn dish soap, I was exceedingly wary of changing. However, the scent of the hand-saving Dawn would linger on my dishes, and it was too much for me. I tried this a few weeks ago, and have since bought a second bottle, because it works SO WELL. The dishes are literally squeaky clean, it foams well, and it leaves no scent at all on my dishes! Honestly, I could not be happier with a dish soap.

Free and clear has a funny smell

I have been using 7th generation free and clear dish soap for years. Sometime in the past couple of years it has been watered down, used to be thick and a few drops were enough. Now I'm constantly going through throw away plastic bottles. More recently the formula must have changed because now it has an odd odor. Decided to switch to another brand and it doesn't have the weird smell. Too bad, I was a loyal customer for years
