Better designed for stacking/packaging than use
Pros: Product size is nice, holds a lot. Somewhere between 5-10 Lbs of flour. Pouring lid is convenient Back side notched for gripping Cons: Space efficiency is terrible. Details: The tapering for the oval design can be forgiven for grip-ability, pour-ability, but the containers also taper top to bottom. This design choice ends up wasting about as much cabinet space as you use. It was seemingly done so the containers could be stacked in their packaging. A more ideal design would utilize a rectangular design and only taper towards the spout and handle. Conclusion: Solid item, but you end up needing double the cabinet space than just keeping things in their stock containers. I have to take off stars for this. Picture shows maybe 15 Lbs of flour over the two containers. Compared vs standard 5Lb flour packaging I could fit 30Lbs in less than the space required for those two containers.

I rrcvd pkg in a brown rubbermaid box that showed a different product opened pkg had 3 cereal keepers in it they were iinside each other with no product info it looked they came off my.kitchen shelf or had been returned since all stickers on.pkg gone.

Don't buy
I should have read the reviews. Horrible chemical smell in these, even after washing. It makes the cereal taste like chemicals! Also, doesn't fit two bags of cereal. The lids do NOT stay open for pouring. Just disappointing all around. I'd return if I hadn't already thrown away the packaging.

Awesome, awesome, awesome
I was reluctantly ready to buy similar containers at a store for $8 a piece, but I found these by accident online and I love them! I thought for this price they may not be the greatest, but I really needed containers for flour and cereal, these containers far, far exceeded my expectations. The lids are soft and easy to remove, but have a tight seal. The containers have indentations and ridges for easy handling and gripping for arthridic hands. Rubbermaid and Sam's Club are the best!
strong smell
Have had some of these for several years. Just bought 3 more. The 3 have a strong chemical smell that transfers to the food. Can’t get the smell out. These 3 are going in the trash. Emailed Rubbermaid. They suggested several ways to clean them. Vinegar, baking soda. Didn’t work.

Chemical smell
I purchased these containers a while back so they've been washed several times. Smell went away after I washed it ,however when I refilled the containers trying some w/just cereal and some w/cereal still in the bag in the container & the smell was still there causing me to throw away brand new cereal. I've tried storage onto of my fridge and in my pantry, smell will not go away. So now I use it as a little trash can in the car and the others store school supplies or tools.

terrible chemical smell
We returned these because even after washing they smelled like a terrible chemical . I didn’t feel comfortable storing food in them. Plus we had to throw out cereal because it started to taste like it . I have a lot of Rubbermaid smaller food storage that never smelled like these.
