And if you're an environmentalist who loves writing with pencils, you probably have a ton of mechanical pencils in your desk or backpack. One mechanical pencil saves wood for two and a half normal pencils, so you can know you're doing the planet a favor and helping to take care of it. BiC is one of the leading brands of pens and pencils and I am pleased to see that they still have the mechanical pencils I grew up writing with, and these even sparkle! So go stock up on them and feel great about yourself.

The xtra sparkle mechanical pencils are only sparkly on the actual pencil. It has nothing to do with the lead itself. I got 0.07 in lead size. This size is just right not being too fat or too slim in lead size. I dont press down that hard when i write thpugh the lead itself is very sturdy. I buy these for my 9 year old as well and she presses down pretty hard and they still withhold her pressing and dont break.

I love the color variety on the outside of the pencils. these are easy to use and the erasers work great on these also.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These pencils were easy to use and looked good. If you write hard, these are not for you. They are not super sturdy. I like that they are light weight but they were not sturdy enough for my 2nd grader to use and it kept breaking. I would recommend these for someone who like to draw or does crossword puzzles. Not recommended if you need a something dark.

I really hate writing with the standard pencils and I have always struggled to find that perfect mechanical pencil. Once I started writing with these I realized that I had found that perfect pencil. Of course the lead does break but it breaks less frequently than most other mechanical pencils. It writes very smoothly which is great . These pencils are also very appealing to the eye. The colors are very pretty and the sparkles give it a nice girly touch. Overall, these pencils are very very good! By far my favorite!

You can feel the click to assure you are getting the lead to move out of the pencil. The design is unique and gets others attention. Overall, I can use these on physical test Scantron or write notes smoothly. The pencil lead doesn’t break easy and I don’t have to sharpen them the old fashion way. Item still works when wet.

Then and Now Bic mechanical pencils have been my writing implement of choice! My handwriting leaves a little to e desired, but when writing with a smooth mechanical pencil like Bic's it's much more legible, and if I make a mistake, I can easily fix it! I love the sparkly addition to these pencils and have one in every room, my car, and my purse! When the lead starts to run out it's so easy to just click for more! Goes to show you are never too old for a little Xtra Sparkle!
