Smart TV/wifi issues
the tv is great! picture is great! however it will not stay connected to the wireless wifi and its in the same room as the modem. i have other streaming devices that stay connected i just didn't want to use a device on a tv with smart technology built in to it.
Banks: Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU8000 TV and for your review. I am very sorry that you are experiencing internet connection issues. You may want to go through these steps to check your network connection: 1) First, please be sure you have the latest firmware update. (1460.9 released on 12/7/20) Using your TV's remote, navigate to Settings, and select Support. Select Software Update, and then select Update Now. New updates will be downloaded and installed on your TV. Updates usually take a few minutes; please do not turn off the TV until the update is complete. When the update is finished, the TV will restart automatically. You may also want to enable automatic updates for future convenience. Select Settings > Support > Software Update, then select Auto Update. 2) Check the distance between the TV and your modem or access point. The distance should not exceed 50 ft. (15.2 m). 3) Minimize interference by not using or turning off wireless devices. Also, verify that there are no obstacles between the TV and the modem or access point. (WiFi strength can be decreased by appliances, cordless phones, stone walls/fireplaces, etc.) 4) Perform a network test to check if there is a network problem. Press the Home button on your remote. Navigate to Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis> Smart Hub Connection Test 5) Try a cold reboot of your TV by pressing and holding the power button for 5+ seconds until the TV turns off and on again. perfect for my needs
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for a tv to install in my bedroom,mainly for Netflix & gaming (ps4). After 2months of use, i can say that the game mode is really awsome, I am still impressed by the quality and response time. The smart features are very good and the "samsung tv plus" is a real added value as we do not have cable subscription. the tv is very far from my router but Inever had any connectivity problem. FYI:i am typing this review from the web interface of the tv
I no longer value Samsung TVs
when i first saw the display model of this tv it was clear and crisp just like your website describes it. two weeks later i purchased the tv. after wall mounting it and turning it on, i was totally disappointed with the picture. it was not clear and crisp. it was a dull unclear and uncrisp picture. looking closer at the screen i noticed that there was a plastic film on the screen. not being able to peel it off i called your tech support and was told it is permanent to protect the screen. after looking at more reviews i find out that there were numerous complaints about cracked screens. it seems samsungs fix was to place that plastic film on the glass screen, thus the not so clear and crisp but dull picture. this is a bad fix by samsung.
Fred: I am very sorry you are not happy with the sharpness of your image. Your 2020 TU8000 model does not come with a plastic film. There are several image settings you can adjust to your liking such as Picture Mode and Expert Settings. Choose a Picture Mode by going to Settings > Picture > Picture Mode and choose from Dynamic, Standard, Natural, Movie, or Filmmaker Mode. You can further adjust your sharpness, brightness, contrast, color, and more by going to Settings > Picture > Expert Settings In addition, the quality of the image on your screen depends on the source and the connection. HDMI cables are recommended for optimal HD viewing; and when possible, 4K content will provide the best picture quality. The TV will upscale as best as possible any content sent to it. The closer the signal is to 4K, the better it will look coming out. The quality of the streaming content depends largely on the speed of your internet, as most content providers have adaptive streaming that will automatically adjust the image quality based on the network bandwidth. Please also give us the opportunity to assist you with image quality adjustments tailored to your preferred viewing experience. World Class Display And Functionality
pros: outstanding display clarity the set handles varying resolutions and streaming rates well, and adjusts to varying ambient light settings impressive internal tv sound. at 20 watts a channel that this set is rated at seems to be plenty. loved the fully functional remote with very few buttons to confuse the operator. with auto hdmi switching on the tv, most hdmi devices now will switch the tv for you when you activate them. three hdmi and two side usb ports allow for great versatility. value per buck was another reason, i like this tv. cons: being an ota tv fan, the ota tuner lacked the feature to add channels without a total erasure and reprogram of the tuner. as a result, one has to completely re-scan every time one moves the antenna. definite irritation.
NIce TV, reasonable price,

Best of a class
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have bought the smaller version for lack of space in my room but anyway they have the best picture and sound quality in that price segment. I will prefer anyone to buy this tv if they looking for a midrange tv. My experience with this tv so far very good.
Don't waste your money
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Terrible product. The tv is way too dim even on the brightest setting. The interface is slow, clunky and not very “smart” or user friendly. The worst part about this tv is that it auto plays various shows and movies when you turn the tv on. Most of which is very in appropriate for children and I can't figure out how to turn it off and no one online can figure it out either. I wish I did more research before I bought this junk.
The product is good but could use more apps.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, the product is satisfactory. The picture is amazing. But, with a smart TV, I expected to be able download more apps than the ones that are already installed. Apps such as Peacock and BravoTV are easily available on the Apple TV but don't exist on this product.
Picture quality is crisp.
the picture is crisp and the apps are easy to use. my husband bought this to replace our 42” samsung that was refusing to turn on any longer. only disappointment is the quality of the speakers. we normally would have the volume in the low single digits. with this model we must be in the teen double digits to hear anything. we utilize our surround sound system instead. would still recommend this model.
Great picture and Tizen experience
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The TV was very easy to setup with my phone and the screen sharing with my Samsung phone worked flawlessly. The Tizen interface is very easy to use and no stability issues so far. The setup of voice and other more advanced features have not been as intuitive but a small factor in the overall evaluation.
