I wanted a large enough emergency generator to run critical circuits in my home during power outages (Using a manual transfer switch). I love the option to run this generator on Natural Gas. Instead of worrying about refueling, I can deal with other issues caused by the outage. The quality of the generator seems good so far and the initial set-up was easy.

Just unboxed my generator and installed the rear wheels and front feet in less than 30 minutes. I'm replacing my Generac 7500KW gasoline unit with this one because of the tri-fuel capability. The lines at the gas station during and after Hurricane Ida told me this is what I needed to do. I was glad to see Champion added a pull handle to the front; previous reviews that I read before my purchase stated that there wasn't one which made moving it around difficult.

Assembly (wheels and feet) instructions were clear and easy to follow. Hooked up to a propane tank and it started right up on 2 pushes of the electric start button. Switched over the natural gas and started right up. I don't want to have to use this generator, but it will be a breeze when and if I do. No more smelly gasoline, gas cans, and storage headaches.

This is our seecond purchase of a CPE generator. We purchased a portable inverter generator a few years ago which still works great. We got this tri-fuel to handle more of the higher-load 240v circuits (i.e. A/C, dryer, dishwasher), and the tri-fuel capability allows virtually unlimited runtime during prolonged outages. For times when we don't need the higher-load items, our smaller generator fits the bill, but when we need more, it's great to know that this generator will carry us.

This is my 3rd purchase of a Champion generator. 1st and 2nd purchase was 2 years ago for the model 76533, one for myself and the other was a gift for our son. The son said it came in handy when his power went out a few times following some storms. Myself, I only had to use it once for testing, did some trimming on bushes, it worked great. I haven't had any power outages so far that required backup power. Anyway, my 3rd purchase was a few weeks ago on the model 100416. After getting the other unit, the wife a I decided to go with a larger model that will also run our furnace and well. I'll be getting a transfer switch installed to make it easier to operate, if and when needed in the future.

I got the tri-fuel generator in April of this year. The reason being is the versatility of being able to use any available fuel source at a moments notice. You could get a standby generator, but there is so many limitations with those. You can't place it in the back of your van or SUV if you have to leave or need it in another location. You really can't do that with a standby generator. It's good looking, compared to some of the other ones out there, pretty smart looking! I've ran my unit for 16 hours now, no issues, runs strong, gauges are great and like I said to be able to switch from one fuel to another with no issues. Nothing to add-on, nothing! this comes complete! it's great for a guy from the city. this is beautiful, have it hooked up to my house electrical system. just roll it out, hook up the fuel, start it up, (Electric start may i add) plug it in, flip the switch, and your good to go!

I have owned another tri-fuel generator since 2009. I use it intermittently - always a mystery sorting through the instructions to start the unit. Champion design and access to components are excellent. Instruction manual well written and planned. Operating the unit is intuitive after using for the first time.

Back up house power. Great piece of equipment love the ease of fuel choice. Power went out used quick release nrg hose connect that comes w , just plug it in push the start button and starts right up powered hole house sweet ...can't ask for more!! everyone used have one.

I'm glad I chose to go with the Tri-Fuel portable power generator. It provides so much flexibility with fuel types and the generator's built-in features really makes it a snap to operate. It started up immediately and it runs very smoothly with all three fuel types. I use natural gas and the 7000 watts continuous output is more than enough for our electricity needs during a blackout. The generator's build quality is superb, tank-tough and is quite easy for this senior citizen to maneuver into place with its large wheels and handle, even with a full tank of gasoline. Well done Champion!

Hurricane season is no fun! We frequently lose power each hurricane season. We desperately needed a generator with the "Tri-Fuel" option. We now have a natural gas line to power the Champion Tri-Fuel 100416. (No more storing gas / hunting for gas after a hurricane). Assembly was a breeze! First start up was electrical start with NG line- had to play with the choke more than I expected but it started up!!!
