This generator will be used to power my house. I live in a gas community and for those like me who do not want to pay $5000-$8000 for a standby generator, this product is worth its weight and price! I will be able to connect this to a gas output and connect this via 240V into my house via a switching panel at only $1000!

Finally outgrew my old Generator. I was glad to find Champion's Tri-Fuel Generator as it gives me the option to connect to my home's natural gas line as well as Propane and Gas. I was able to order online and have it delivered directly to my home. I had it unpacked and running on Propane in less than 30 min. The setup and starting Instructions were easy to follow. Should have my xfer switch connected in next few weeks, and will no longer have to worry about running multiple extension cords all over the place at the next power outage. The only thing I would change, is adding an AMP meter to know the actual load.

I am using this to power my house and 3 ton a/c approx {4000 watts}. I install a Hyper Engineering soft start on my a/c to get this to work. While the a/c is on I avoid using other high amp appliances like washer and dryer and microwave. The generator is pretty easy to use. The 240V twist lock connection is the only 240V connector on the unit. That type of connector is rated at 30A {7200W} so it seems it should have something with more capacity. The handle is mounted loose and hits the muffler if you let go of it and gets very hot when the engine is running. If you run it in your yard it will kill your grass and become a fire hazard. It needs a heat under the muffler and the exhaust also hits the ground.

I received my trifuel generator a few days ago. The generator itself looks very nice and seems well setup/designed. The instructions were easy to follow and no real setup was needed aside from attaching the wheels, feet and filling with the oil they provided. I like that they also provided a natural gas hose and propane hose. I am using natural gas which I tried for the first time today. Seems to run well. I plugged in an electric heat gun to make sure it provided power and of course it did. Over all happy with it so far. If I ever need to use it, which I'm sure I will it seems like it will do the trick.

This unit was my third portable generator and the best by far. The Tri-Fuel feature is great. The instructions were clear and easy to follow for a do-it-yourselfer. Would have liked to unit have a readout on present load it is operating. A great unit to have in case of a power outage.

I did the 5 hour break in on gasoline at 2Kw. I changed the oil then connected to natural gas. The generator will not start when the selector is on natural gas, I have to set the selector to propane and then the generator starts instantly and then switch the selector to natural gas. I connected to my house. It ran very well and the engine smoothed out after 3 hours. I have an APC 3Kw UPS and five 600w APC UPS's. All ran without a problem. This replaced an ONAN 5Kw generator which died after 20 years. There is less (visible only if you are looking for it) flickering on my LED lights. The only change I would like is for the exhaust to vent up rather than sideways.

Bought this generator after a big storm, decided to go with the Tri-Fuel model to give us options in case we cant get gasoline. I added the oil and put gas in it and it started right up. Did the 5hr break in period with no issues and it handled the fridge and freezer I had hooked up to it. Oil change was easy to do and now generator is ready for use when needed.

I live in a very active hurricane area. After a hurricane we go for days with very little access to gasoline to run generators. Having a natural gas generator provides peace of mind. The generator runs good and has Hertz and voltage meters as well as a running time clock. On initial startup it seems to take several seconds to purge the air out of the fuel line, which makes me nervous that it may not start; but it always has started up. It is not as quite as I would have liked.(makes more noise)

Just received this product and am trying it out with NW Natural Gas. Easiest way us to use it as a backup power source and monthly to power our electrical yard equipment. This is a great product and find it is really great to use. Have put in a wall pass through for the power cable so we do not have to have it coming through a door or window.

Bought this product for emergency use for the Winter season. This is our first home generator and reviews looked good. We tested our generator and it is easy to use if you have all the right tools and wires. Cannot wait to use it for upcoming Winter cold when power goes out!!
