My emergency preparedness is complete with this generator. I'm surprised there are so few portable natural gas generators on the market, but it doesn't matter, because this one is great! I have it set up for natural gas but I love that it is ready to go for propane or gasoline in a pinch. Would definitely recommend it.

We purchased the tri-fuel 8000 watt generator model#100416. I can't say enough how versatile the machine is with three options for gasoline, propane or natural gas. It was easy to set up and easy to work with the three different fuel depending on the application. We primarily purchased it for the natural gas option so we could run the generator continuously on the house when our power went down for an extended period so the refrigerators would not defrost; given food costs these days for a family of 5 we needed to keep our deep freezer protected. We needed something portable and powerful to run in the field, run on a transfer switch to the house and store. This generator checked all the boxes for us. Highly recommended.

I am very satisfied with this product it comes with all you need. I live in Texas and with climate changing rapidly and hurricane seasons this type of equipment make a lot of sense. I was able to installed a 30 amp RV receptacle 4 prongs to my house main beaker panel and plus I have natural gas at home which is cheaper and do not have to store propane or gas. I tested and I was able to run the whole house (2000 sq ft) and run a water heater, Central A/C, Refrigerator and all the usual household electronics such as TVs, lights, microwave etc. I love this product so much.

The unit was very eazy to set up using the supplied hardware. I thought the really nice touch was that a quart of oil AND funnel are included in the package. It was nice to not have to look around for mine. My plans for the generator are mainly for emergency use and if by chance it turns into long term usage, the natural gas feature is the reason I was sold on this model. Hopefully I won't have to use it, but it's nice knowing it's available.

I wanted a large enough emergency generator to run critical circuits in my home during power outages (Using a manual transfer switch). I love the option to run this generator on Natural Gas. Instead of worrying about refueling, I can deal with other issues caused by the outage. The quality of the generator seems good so far and the initial set-up was easy.

Hurricane season is no fun! We frequently lose power each hurricane season. We desperately needed a generator with the "Tri-Fuel" option. We now have a natural gas line to power the Champion Tri-Fuel 100416. (No more storing gas / hunting for gas after a hurricane). Assembly was a breeze! First start up was electrical start with NG line- had to play with the choke more than I expected but it started up!!!

Out of the box, there were no issues. Ran it for 5 hours (break in period) and it did what it was supposed to do. Loud, but i expected that. I love the fact that it runs off natural gas. No storing gas or propane. I already had a natural gas line ran to my grill so it was an easy connection to make. So far so good.

Around here, power outages during hurricane season are common and can last for days to weeks. I bought this generator because it is one of the few units that will run on natural gas right out of the box, has enough capacity to run my essential appliances, and is far cheaper than a permanently installed standby generator. Fortunately, I haven't had to use it "for real" yet, but it made it through the five hour run in period with flying colors. Only improvement I could suggest would be a load indicator. The panel will tell you voltage and frequency, but not watts/amps.

This is my second generator. Upgrading to this model has some real advantages. First, fuel type. Have you ever had to take your equipment into the shop because you could not get it started? Only to find out the Ethanol in the fuel clogged the carburetor? Know a friend or family member who had to do this? Stop it! Using propane or natural gas as the fuel source completely eliminates this problem. Second, Electric start... hello... super easy. Third, maintenance, thought was used to make things easier for us, the consumer. Oil changes are easier with the design of adding an oil drain tube that attaches directly to the frame of the unit. No more spills. Changing the oil couldn't be easier.

We have several power outages a year and I've lost food to these. This generator will be extremely helpful in avoiding this. I like the feature allowing me to use natural gas so I don't have to worry about filling up with regular gasoline. Would buy again.
