Love that its Trifuel. I was away working for the hurricane and it's so easy to operate that my wife was able to handle this generator all on her own. We didn't have time to have the natural gas hooked up to it but when the lines to get gas was HOURS long, having the option to use propane was a big stress reliever for her. The propane was clean and easy. This generator is definitely user friendly. If my wife can operate this on her own, anyone can.

A while back I bought a used generator and transfer switch. O installed it and a short time later the governor failed. I was trying to decide what to do and came across this Champion portable generator. I had already run a natural gas line and wanted something that would run on it. This generator will run on gasoline, propane or natural gas. The size and price were right. And I did not need to hire someone for the install/start-up. Wish I had seen this year's ago. It would have saved me time and money. So far I 've only run it 5 hours to complete the break in. Ran it both on a propane tank and after getting a couple more fittings on natural gas. Seemed to run everything including the 2 ton A/C. I don't have the range, water heater or dryer connected to it. But most everything else.

I bought this generator shortly after having natural gas installed at my home. I have had a gasoline generator in the past but the appeal here is that if the area is out of power, then the gas stations won't be able to fill gas cans for my generator. The tri-fuel setup is easy and quick. Open the box. Put on the wheels. Put on the two feet. Fill up the supplied engine oil. My generator started up the first time. The instructions were clear and operation is easy. I would highly recommend this generator to anyone. I do wish that Champion offered a larger version in the 10-15kw range, but this is for emergencies after all. I am going to build a small generator shed to house this outside with a circulating fan to keep the CO away from the unit and to prevent the CO sensor from shutting this off at an inconvenient time. I purchased the storm cover to use until the genny shed is finished. It is a great temporary option for me but I feel it is vastly overpriced- but hey, this is all for piece of mind, right?

My neighbor has one and loves it. The only thing keeping me from buying it today is the lack of a 50amp receptacle. I've seen another brand tri-fuel generator putting out less watts that has a 50amp receptacle. I know I can buy an adapter. That does nothing but give me 30amps through a 50amp adapter. I want the 50amp power.

Get it if your house has natural gas and you live in a metro area. Last power outage in our area left all the gas stations empty in about a day. The generator was easy to get operational and they also provide the oil! The freight company as amazing as well. Just buy it, you'll thank me later.

This generator will be for back up when we loose power. The natural gas option will save me lots of headaches obviously. It's all broke in and ready to go. With a soft starter kit on my 2.5 ton hvac system to reduce the amps this generator can keep my house cool during the dog days of summer in Louisiana if we loose power. I'm looking forward to wearing my CHAMPION tshirt proudly.

I bought this unit specifically for the natural gas option. The product came well packaged, setup was a breeze and the generator runs my entire house through our back feed hookup with no problems at all. I love that I can set it and forget it without the need to constantly check and refill fuel during an extended outage. The noise output is also much quieter than I thought it would be, which the neighbors will certainly appreciate!

Had it a week, so haven't had much need (no power outages...) but we have tested it. The generator clearly handles all of our emergency needs. Really like that it is TRI-FUEL and can run from natural gas as well as gas or propane. Looking to attach to a NG line near our electrical panel and add a switch to have it directly run major circuits in the home and avoid the extension cords. The only downside, with this much power comes a great amount of sound. Will have to find a way to dampen the noise or invite the neighbors to use some of the power!

I've been using a gas generator for years. I finally decided to move up and purchase the tri-fuel. since I have natural gas connections on the back of my house. This will be great that I won't need to go looking for fuel anymore. The only thing I think would be nice is if more connectors for the natural gas and propane connections were supplied.

Unable to provide 6,000W power (running on gas) for my home when we lost electricity for 4 days this past winter. From difficulty to start the engine, to its high noise (revving up and down for no reason as it could not provide enough power), thus its lacking power, , and all the frustration and inconvenience... this product became the worst buy of all time. Support agents were moody, quick-mannered and rude, but most importantly, incompetent as they wasted my time & efforts to get any solution. Will get rid off this generator for another brand. It has been a bad experience for us.
