I am very pleased with my purchase.

We bought this tri-fuel generator because of the good reviews and consistent listing under top ten lists for "best portable generator." Assembly was extremely easy. I've cranked it with propane and it started right away. A little loud; however, you pay a lot more for a quiet generator. The choke was difficult to find because it is black and tucked in. Maybe a different color or sticker would help. Front panel is very easy to read and access. Great generator for the price!

Great tri-fuel generator

After going through the Texas ice storm of 2021 with a small gas generator, we made the decision to purchase the Tri-fuel generator to power our house. I will no longer have to worry about having or finding gas if the power goes out again! The generator is well built and should last a long time for us.

Why can't this model 41537 gas be converted to Natural Gas?

I recently contacted the manufacture requesting info on if my peticular model 41537 gas only could be converted to Natural Gas. On You Tube it truly appears to be a fairly straightforward common process via an after market kit conversion. I was informed that Champion informed me that my model 41537 is not capable of retrofitting to a natural gas type for fuel source. I'm confused in that if the actual motor and electronics are almost universal between duo fuels. Only concern I could see on my low level of knowledge and comprehension of fuels is Natural Gas doesn't embed lubricants as are found in gasoline to help lubricate cyclinder wall firing, and BTU output. My limited knowledge I was informed thousands of hours of use may be a concern of "valve recession" and can be dealt with with adjustments of cyclinders. So my logic is telling me if this was used daily/weekly/monthly I could see such an event to occur. But occasionally and intermittingly hardly equates. I've had 3 back surgeries and I am at a junction of retrofitting my wonderful champion 41537 model to Natural Gas mainly for not lifting multiple gallons of gas without eventually having a fourth back surgery.....This is a request of survial when power is out. Connecting using (1) 30lb gas line to a NG outlet is alot smarter than lifting multiple 30-40lb gas cans. Then taking empties to station and lift another 40lb gas cans yet again in car. As its out of warranty it only has 35 hours on it and considered relatively brand new. It runs like a beast and I have a strong trust factor in that I'm confident it will always be ready to roll when needed. Has anyone heard of such a thing of being unable to retrofit to natural gas? That's not what I'm seeing on youtube. Interesting point I was referred immediately to their Champion tri-fuel model that would do what I need to. Sure it will be in the best interest of Champion but is it in mine having to purchase a complete brand new one, under my circumstances? Thank you

Ready to go right out of the box

This generator was purchased for power outage emergencies which happen quite often around here. It's very easy to set-up and ready to run right out of the box. It's capable of running several appliances with no interruption for several hours at a time. The best feature (in my book) is the ability to use natural gas.

Love this generator

I live in the heart of hurricane lane. I've had and used other generators in the past. When it was time to get a new one, I really wanted one that was not powered by gasoline. This one has the option to use use natural gas, which I LOVE. I am able to run my generator and power all my home essentials off of my home bbq pit natural gas hook up. It was easy to hook up and do the initial burn in on the engine. Oil change was easy. I will say it is a little loud, but not bad. Hoping this generator will last me for seasons for come.

Great Generator with lots of options

Great on the construction job site. Great power-outage generator at home. Took a moment to start the first time around on gas. Be sure to get pressure right when using a natural gas connection for extended home use. Plenty of guides on Youtube for proper connections, regulators, etc.

Easy start

Just got this generator less than one week. Easy starting up with propane and gas. Waiting to complet the NG line connection to test later. Fairly compact form, but heavy as expected. Wish to have the avail cover that would come with it so can leave it outside rather have to roll it around or to make a fixture/cover for it. Little lounder some of the smaller units, but expected for higher power output.

Couldn't be more pleased!

I ordered this generator a few days ago to power essential circuits in the house in the event of a power failure. It arrived on time, was very easy to put the wheels and feet on. It's heavy but not hard to move around with the wheels. Everything I needed came in the box, and I had it up and running in no time. I'm using natural gas for fuel as I had a gas outlet on my deck for a gas grill, and this way I don't have to worry about refueling or running out of fuel. I had done my tie-in at the panel a few days previous, and test ran the generator for about a half hour, making sure it would run what I needed in the house, which it did...mainly refrigerators and lighting circuits, though it would power the furnaces in cold weather too. I have ordered an interlock for the panel to eliminate the possibility of back-feeding into the power grid. I highly recommend this product.

I would buy this product again

I purchased my first Champion generator when we lost power due to a tornado 2 years ago. We were able to run our whole house with the exception of the electric dryer. I purchased the Tri-fuel generator so that we could utilize natural gas as a fuel source. If this generator performs anything like our dual-fuel generator did, then I will not be disappointed.

Superb Generator!

For my first generator ever it is more then i expected. I love all the features and the overall power and look of it. The only thing is that it is kinda loud for a suburban area with houses close to each other. The Box says it has 74 dB noise level but my noise level meter says 96 dB without anything connected to it. So you might have to find a way to contain the noise. Everything else is good!
