No matter what you put in them, it is safe and you won't have a disgusting mess to clean up. They are great in the refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher too. I have tried these with soup, chili and salads so far. These work so great, i am going to go out and buy a few more.

I used it to send chili with my husband and it held up to the 100% leak proof guarantee. Also when he brought it home that evening I tossed it in the dishwasher and it came out crystal clear with no stains. The entire container is clear and it looks really different from other products. My son wanted to test it so we put soup inside and he shook it as hard as he could. No mess at all! I like that you can see what's inside and the unique vents are interesting but we don't have a microwave to try it out. I like that you can see clearly what is inside. The one downfall, and the reason I gave it 5 stars, is that it's difficult to open. I guess that's the price you pay for it being air tight but I could see it being a problem for some people.

It absolutely did not leak. I put it in the microwave and I washed it in the dishwasher, I was so happy that it didn't stain like so many plastic containers to. I think this is a very quality container, it is so clear to be able to see through and I like that it is so compact when the cover is on. The cover fits so snug, it's almost difficult(in a good way) to get it off, making sure it won't leak. What a great food storage container.
