Everyone needs to know that 2.4GHz & 5GHz WiFi is different from a 5G cellular network. Plus, 2.4GHz is not obsolete because it is needed to provide a longer range that can go through walls (which is perfect for setting up a device in a garage). 2K resolution and color night vision in the dark without lights is also great. Set up video was very helpful!

Even though I don’t live at home anymore, I’ve used the app remotely and helped them manage it, so I’ve seen how convenient it is firsthand. Setup was super simple thanks to the magnetic base — no drilling nightmares. The 2K video quality is surprisingly sharp, even in low light. The night vision works flawlessly, and the motion alerts are fast and reliable. My dad uses the two-way audio to talk to delivery drivers all the time. I also love that it works with both Alexa and Google Assistant without needing a separate hub. The dual-band WiFi compatibility made it easy to pair with their existing network too. It adds a huge sense of security knowing you can monitor your garage from anywhere and actually see what’s going on in real time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Energizer Smart Garage Door Opener with security camera is a unique product that has useful features I didn’t know I needed. The most important feature to highlight is the indoor garage security camera. At first I thought this was another outdoor camera, but I was pleasantly surprised when the directions explained to install it to the interior garage door opener motor. This is useful because it allows you to get a clear birds eye view of the entire interior of the garage and the door itself to monitor if it is open or not. To view the camera, simply open the app and view the live streaming anywhere from your phone. Picture quality is excellent, very clear and shows movement fluidly. This app has many convenient features such as recording video, 2-way audio, the ability to open and close the garage door from anywhere, and motion detection. It will alert you if the door is left open for added security. It also works with Alexa so I can easily command it to open or close from anywhere inside my smart home. This garage door opener includes a garage door position sensor that communicates the position of the garage door rather than needing to physically look at the live camera view. This sensor did take some considerable time to install and would be difficult for someone with no handyman skills as it requires drilling and wiring. On our particular garage door, the bracket needed to be modified to fit the surface of the garage door motor. So this might be necessary if the surface isn’t perfectly flat. The features in this garage door opener and camera offer new ways to keep my home secure. This camera is high quality and durable. I would recommended it to anyone that is looking to add their garage door opener to their smart home appliances.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We really like the features on this camera. It gives great peace of mind for me to be able to check if I forgot to close the garage door. It worked with our existing set up fine and the video quality is decent. The only draw back was being fairly tedious to set up. It is not a quick and easy set up but otherwise a nice choice.

1) Unit did Not work with my garage Door Opener Chamberlain LW9000WFi. This is a "code hopping secure opener" ...... (LW9000WF is Listed as Compatible in manual .... mine ends with"WFi" %26 does not work) 2) Purchaser MUST supply their own USB power source ... that information is Not on the Box or purchase Page Description! 3) Magnet is Weak, my door has the rubber belt drive %26 the camera would move from the set aiming point. The Unit fell off of the garage door opener several times ... Good thing I had attached a piece of fishing line to the camera %26 it did not fall on our Cars or break by hitting the Floor. - The Camera was OK to see someone is in garage %26 I liked the idea of local storage only / not being forced into a subscription service. ---> The Clarity of Captured images; 2K is Not Good enough to actually identify clearly who is in your garage .... Not enough detail for actual facial recognition. RETURNED
