Great watch

I only had the Venu 3 for two weeks but, I really have come to love this watch. I had a Samsung watch 4 and the difference is huge, especially on the battery life! It'll take a little time to get use to all the new features and button functions but, it's worth it.

Needs a few changes ...

I bought this a few weeks ago so: - My HRV needs 3 weeks before it will be useful - There is no data on Sleep Debt as in some other apps - There is no data on Morning Recovery / Readiness / Energy - The Germin Venu 3 watch has 3 switches which are all on one side (right side when worn on left arm - left side when worn on right arm) ... On my Apple Watch the switches 'can be swopped' - The Germin Venu 3 watch cannot be worn too close to the end of the wrist - The MOST PROMINENT switch (of the 3) on The Germin Venu 3 is positioned exactly in THE MIDDLE ... This is often accidentally pressed and it then automatically starts VOICE ASSISTANT !!! This is extremely annoying.

Fitness Watch, not a smart watch.

When buying this watch as a replacement or upgrade of another smart watch, you have to keep one thing in mind. The Garmin Venu 3 is the most "smart watch like" watch in Garmin's line-up, but it is a fitness tracker first and a smart watch second. This is both a good thing and a bad thing. The good news is that this watch has amazing health trackers, being very accurate. This watch also has smart watch features like notifications and text messages. However, the watch does not sync with your phone's notifications seamlessly like other watches on the market. Your notifications go to both the phone and the watch, a result of the third-party app Garmin Connect. I wish this was more seamless, but it is somewhat of a welcome change from the traditional smart watch from other manufacturers. The main thing I love about this watch is the battery life. Lasting up to 14 days with the Always On Display turned off is just amazing. Even with the Always On Display turned on, you still get up to 5 days out of the battery. This is leaps and bounds ahead of anything else on the market. In conclusion, if you want a fitness tracker that is also a smart watch, definitely take a look at the Garmin Venu 3. Amazing battery life and health sensors set this watch apart from the competition. However, if you are looking for a smart watch first, look elsewhere. The connection is not as seamless as other watches on the market such as the Apple Watch or Galaxy Watch.

Great watch with great battery life

At 74 years old I purchased the watch about 4 months ago for motivation to exercise and loose weight. I love the watch and features and found a watch face that displays the main features I want. With the set up I have I get 7 to 8 days of battery life before I need to recharge the watch. I’ve lost 25 pounds and believe a lot of that is due to motivation provided by the watch features.

Nice and easy to use.

This watch is a beauty, easy to use big enough to read many features, I put my Apple Watch aside it had some very good apps but having to charge it constantly or every 16 hrs just didn’t work for me anymore. This Garmin Venu 3 is perfect, I only wish it had a compas s that I could find and elevation. Other than that I highly recommend the Garmin Venu 3 watch , and I am a person coming for 2 Apple Watches.

Everything I need and a GREAT display

This is hands down the best smart watch I have ever had. I have been wearing technical watches like this for over a decade - I was an early adopter and have use many different levels of watch from many different brands. I have worn these types of watches 24/7 for almost 15 years and this is the BEST and gives me ALL the information I need. I like it better than the Fenix series for the cost, comfort, and display. I think the Fenix is overkill for 99% of users. I have several other Garmin products such as cycling computers, a Tread, bicycle trainer, etc and anything the Venu is able to handle, my other devices which are activity/vehicle dedicated fill in. It is great.

Such a beautiful device!!

The watch is simply magnificent! I bought this form factor specifically for daily use. I work out with them in the gym, walk, run and ride a bike. They keep the charge perfectly, they have enough for 5 workouts with GPS, well, for the rest during these days. Initially, the watch showed a charge for 14 days, but now for some reason only for 12. I don't know what this is about.

Great product with loads of capabilities!!!

Have been using it for nearly a month now and have loved every second of it. Simple interface that has made tracking simpler and more accurate. No longer bouncing from app to app to track different data points, it’s all right here. The battery life is by far my favorite. Instead of charging it everyday, I can go days between charges. When it does need charged, it ready quickly instead of waiting hours.

Good and Bad

I have had six prior Garmin watches, the last being a Vivoactive 4. The Venu 3 display is very bright in most cases and the ECG function is a good addition. The battery life is much better than the Vivoactive. The golf tracking is not good, yardage does not update. The lap swimming function has several problems vs the Vivoactive. Selecting the activity does not stay on unless you immediately start it. When a lap is paused a message comes up telling you how to use the button, instead of providing stats. The display is also harder to read in the water, but this may be due to goggles.
