This ham is so delicious. I simply heated on the stove in a pan. It was tender and has a good flavor. I love a honey, brown sugar glaze so I added that and let it simmer with a lid...the slices are thick and large...this is a great way to have small portions of ham versus baking a whole ham.

We having been buying Smithfield ham steaks from our local Sam's Club for many years. They are so versatile. However, this is the second batch that has been too salty to eat. With the first one I thought it might have been a one time thing, but not willing to chance it a third time. Our family was incredibly disappointed, but I will not be buying again.

When a rival warehouse store ceased selling ham steaks, I thought I would give those offered by Sam's Club a try - after all, they appeared to be fine apart from the bone in the centre (the rival's offerings were boneless) and had Smithfield brand ... how wrong could one be!! The TOP steak looked fine, but those underneath were most definitely not! Anyway, my wife used one today for a special Father's Day breakfast of eggs benedict, with disastrous results. The brine practically flowed out!! It was overly salty (I thought initially I had mistakenly purchased country ham steaks, but the package claimed otherwise!) - she had to cut away an unacceptable amount of fat and then she came upon a piece of artery in the ham on her plate! If we could return the remaining 2 unopened steaks we would!

I usually like Smithfield ham, but these steaks are not good. I don't know if we got a bad lot, but you're basically overpaying for water. The quality of the ham is extremely low. I will not buy them again. Even my kids asked what was wrong with the ham. It was really watery and spongy and I would not recommend.

Bought this once (a while ago) and by the next day it was SOUR. Went to Sam's recently and saw that majority of the packs had pieces that were a dull, grey color, not pink. Can't really say if coming to Hawaii causes these to rot in transit; but, since I've never had problems with any other perishables, I don't think it's the store.

No flavor, full of water, soft and squishy. We ate pt part of one slice and threw the rest away.

It has been a while since I have had this, but I am sure they are still the same
