I have a chronic autoimmune illness that also causes constant pain. I've also had osteoarthritis in my back since my early 20s (and I'm now 51), and literally wore out my body between the physical stress of military and competitive kickboxing. I have slept on a Classic tempurpedic for the past 16 years. Sleep difficulties and waking up hurting let me know I needed to replace my mattress, but I've been nervous about doing it. I finally took the plunge and bought the firm LuxeAdapt. It is AMAZING! I am primarily a side sleeper (true side and side/partially on back or stomach). I also sometimes sleep on my back. The mattress fully conforms to the body, but in a supportive way with no excessive pressure anywhere. I have only slept on it a few nights, but have not woken up this relaxed in a really, really, really long time. I am not sure what people are talking about regarding break in time or the mattress being too firm at first. I felt the mattress was absurdly comfortable from the moment it was places on my adjustable base. The only reason I can think of is that they've never slept on a tempurpedic before. I am beyond ecstatic with this mattress!

Purchased this product because of reviews, Seems to be great quality however mattress is anything but firm. I sink when I sit on this mattress, not back supporting at all as described. The base is GREAT quiet & no problem at all, mattress I can't say the same about.

After looking for months and researching so many mattresses, I finally decided to buy the Tempur-Pedic mattress and I am so happy I splurged and spent the money. This mattress is life changing. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We tried to buy the softest (meaning plush) bed Tempur-Pedic offered and *think* we got it, but it is still surprisingly firm upon initial touch. It is still a comfortable bed, i just wish it had that encapsulating feeling when you first hit it. Maybe i need a topper for it? Good solid quality - its just so hard to buy stuff online sight unseen (or unfelt! lol).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Corners were bubbled up, and there were waves along the sides. Customer Servuce Rep was hostile and dismissive. It took filing a warranty claim and threatening to return all 3 purchased mattresses to get a replacement of the 1 defective mattress.

I haa add be been wanting to own a Temper Pedic forever, always compromising and regretting the compromises after months and years of other beds. For the first time I can say, this is the best bed I've ever had or slept in. I can sleep on my side now without any shoulder problems. Although this bed classified as soft, it is not soft. On my side I sink down to the correct spot and sleep well. My Chiropractor will not appreciate this purchase since my back issues have now been resolved. I did not like the off gassing or the smell for almost two weeks. Has this off gassing been studied? I sure hope it's not a carcinogen. 4 Stars for the best bed ever! -1 Star for the off-gassing! VERY firm mattress, which was a definite adjustment from our pillowtop; however, it's well worth it! We both sleep a lot better and wake up with no more back pain, or joint pain. I highly recommend this if you're experiencing any sort of back issues or neck pain.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband has problem with his back. We have tried several types of mattress at different brands but still not work until Tempur pedic. We absolutely love it. The price is a little bit high, but it is worth for money.

My husband and I are both side sleepers and have broad shoulders so a mattress that supports while letting you sink in enough to keep your spine aligned is difficult. After trying lots of lesser memory foam beds we finally shelled out the cash for a Tempur Pedic. Totally worth it. We are sleeping so much better and our bodies feel great. The soft is very soft but still feels supportive, even for my husband who is 6'4/240lbs. I'm 5'6/140lbs and it's perfect for me, too. Doesn't sleep as warm as other memory foam. Cover is very nice. The only thing my husband doesn't like is that the edge is soft and he can't sit on it to put on his socks. I don't have that trouble.
