Do not buy Michelin Premier LTX Terrible Tread Wear

Bought new 2019 Chevy Equinox now has 23,000 miles, took to the dealer for regular maintenance and tire rotation. Dealer would not rotate due to tires being rated at zero. After looking at all of these 404 bad reviews I do not believe I want anymore of these tires. These are not 60000 mile tires

HORRIBLE SAFETY HAZARD!!

HORRIBLE! These came on my 2020 Cadillac XT5, not even 22k miles later of only city driving since I work from home and two tires are completely worn down. One is even showing the metal beneath the rubber, extreme safety HAZARD. I expected much more from this brand and from Cadillac to chose a better tire brand for a luxury vehicle.

VAP Enterprise, sorry to read this. We'd recommend having the tires inspected by an authorized Michelin retailer in your area. Please ask the dealer to contact us while you are there so that we can get more information.

Like driving a new car again !

These tires are wonderful. I bought them for my Lincoln MKX and love the way they feel driving. Very quiet when driving on good blacktop, which is rare sometimes where I live. I have also had Michelin's LTX tires on my previous vehicle F150 and loved them as well. I would definitely recommend Michelin tires.

Great when new, 2 years later I'm looking for new tires

I bought a new set of 4 of the Premier LTX's for my Hyundai Santa Fe on the recommendation of my local BJ's. The ride and low-noise were great when they were brand new but that faded quickly. After two years and only 24,000 miles, these tires are worn almost all the way down. Would NOT buy again

Disappointed..Only got 35000 miles out of them!

Put these tires on in February 2015, was told they were a great tire, warranted for 60,000 Miles. When at the shop for routine service I was told I needed to replace the tires sooner than later.. Disappointing!! I will say however they were a quiet and smooth riding tire.

Worst performing tire I've ever had.

I have been a Michelin buyer exclusively for the past 40 years. I heard nothing but praise about the Premier LTX and thought I would switch from my usual LTX M/S and give them a try. Loved the initial ride and performance of the Premier, but that soon wore off. I purchased these about 14 months ago and have only 15-16k mikes on them and already have had several people tell me that my tires are really worn and should be replaced...UGH!

Finally need a new set after 78,524 miles

These are the standard tires on the Chevy Equinox Diesel. Tires are finally at the wear bar at 78,524 miles. The tires were reasonably quite for most of their life though they did get louder later on past the 50,000 mile mark. Since they lasted this long I could care less about a little extra road noise. Traction is great new and worn though reduced speed is needed through water past 50,000 to 55,000 mile marks. Please note that when I say reduced speed I mean traveling though a torrential down pour in Virginia which you should be going slower anyway. I will be getting another set. Bravo Zulu on the tire.

Great Tire!

This is a great tire. I don't understand what all the complaining is about. I have all my vehicles services every three months regardless of mileage. During that service I have everything checked. I have them aligned at least every year and sooner if there's a reason that calls for it. Today I'm getting the third set of these same tires on a 2015 Nissan Murano. It has 127,684 miles on it. That's almost 64,000 on each set. The set that's on it has at least another 20,000 on them but I noticed a small cut in the sidewall yesterday so that's the reason for the new set today. These tires are quite, responsive, handles rain, snow and dry conditions. I'm not sure you you can find a better tire that the Michelin Premier LTX

Great Tire

I had these tires installed on my 2014 Honda Odyssey. So far, they have been great tires with great traction, even wear, great handling and quiet ride. They have accumulated 30,000 km including a summer road trip to hot Florida and they barely show any signs of wear. Very satisfied with purchase !

Tires wore out early .

I recently bought a 2021 Lexus RX-350 with these tires . Brought the car to my trusted mechanic and he said there was excessive wear . The car only has 22,000 miles on the tires . I am very disappointed in both Michelin and Lexus for putting these poor tires on my car !

Bill M, sorry to read of your treadwear complaint. The warranty on the original equipment tires is for the original purchaser of the vehicle and is not transferrable. That said, we'll be glad to speak to an authorized Michelin retailer in your area that has inspected the tires and can give us more details about the wear.
