I love Michelin, but...

The tires perform well in summer, not so much in winter snow. What brought me here is to read if others have the same issue as me. And yes indeed, the thread wear on this tire does not meet the documented KM rating. At 20,000KM from the rating, I need new tires and have pushed as far as I can go on these. First snowfall and if it wasn't for 4X4, I don't think I would get out of my street in the snow with what I have left for thread.

Low mileage

I had these tires installed at 50,000 miles on my Ford Flex. We are now at 85,000 and they are low on tread, I mean really low on tread. I'm absolutely disappointed, as I insisted on Michelin Tires when I bought new tires. This mileage is unacceptable.

Stick like flypaper

I have owned the Premier LTX for two years on a small SUV. I have been in two close calls that could have been deadly for me. As I forcefully (slammed) applied the brakes in both situations the LTX's stuck to the pavement like glue at 70+mph and approximately 55mph. The wet road traction has been excellent also. The tread life will not be as long as I would like but the handling, quietness, and traction can't be beat.

Disappointing

I purchased a ‘17 GMC Acadia new, with Michelin Premier LTX tires. The car only has 23000 miles on it and the tires need replaced already. I have had them rotated as recommended, yet still are worn where I don't feel safe on the road when it rains, and especially in the winter.

Terrible Tread Life

My wife bought a 2019 GMC Acadia that came with these tires. We do drive a-lot, there's no question about that, but after just 27k miles we are having to replace these tires. I gave them two stars because they do ride nicely, but at what these tires cost they certainly should last longer. If you're looking for performance you should consider these tires. If you're looking for life or if you are on a budget I would pass.

great tire!

Just bought premier LTX tires for my Jeep Liberty... I love them!!! They ride very quiet and when you turn around sharp corners they really hug the road. It almost feels like they are turning for me with little sticky hands coming out to hold the road.

Terrible Tires -Do Not Buy

I have owned my 2019 Cadillac XT5 for two months, just had to replace a tire already. My car only has 19,000 miles on it. There was a metal object that tore the side wall and could not be replaced. You would think the tire would be prorated and pay the difference for a replacement tire, but not that did not happen. Had to spend a lot of money having it replaced. I was also told at Cadillac that the tires will only last about another 10,000 miles and should be replaced. In other word's these tires are only made to last 30,000 miles and not 60,000 as specified. I have always been a fan of Michelin tires but now I am very disappointed to say the least.

Poor tread life

I bought a new set of Premier LTX tires for my 2016 Honda Pilot 4 years ago and after just 40,000 miles, they have worn to 2/32nds tread depth. This is with regular tire rotations, balancing and alignments performed on schedule. This is suppose to be a 60,000 mile tire. This is poor return on my investment in a luxury tire. They were a quiet, comfortable tire with good grip as they wore but again not the tread life that was promised.

Not a good choice.

I have driven 35,000 miles with these tires on a Lincoln MKT and have no issues with the tread life. I do have a problem with the ride quality or the lack of it would be more precise. These tires have an unbelievable hard ride. I feel every bump in the road, both in town and on the highway. The sealing strips across interstates make for a very annoying ride. Hitting even a small chug hole makes the entire vehicle shudder. I have suffered long enough with the uncomfortable ride and will have these tires replaced.

happydaze, thanks for taking the time to submit a review. I don't see that we have discussed this issue with you or your tire retailer. To initiate a warranty claim, please visit your dealer and ask them to contact us while you are there with the vehicle.

225/60H x 18 - Premier LTX worn out 17,000 miles

On 9/10/2018 I replaced the factory provided tires on my 2015 CRV Touring. Factory tires had 37,064 on them. I read all the great reviews and paid up for quality so I thought. I have 54,000 on my car roughly garaged car. Tread @ 5/32 regular rotation by Honda dealerships. Any tire should get you between 35,000-40,000 miles. Quality is “unacceptable” on the Premier LTX and Michelin should be taking any negative reviews very seriously because these tires are on a lot of SUVs.
