Got this for an excellent price over the holidays. Looks good, has long seam down the back but sits against a wall so that isnt a problem for me. May want to think about that if is going to be sitting out in the open. Works as advertised. Opening is not as large as the entire lid, so some large items are difficult to get in. Still, we enjoy it. A quick hand hover and the top opens. Closes on it's own allowing you to move on to other things. Recommended.

We are using this motion trash can in our kithen to match other Stainless appliances. Looks and works great thus far. The only think I think they coudl have done better is hide the trash bag better. the top part of the trash bag hangs over the top edge and can be seen, other than that it works great...

I purchased this trash can for our kitchen area at work a couple of months ago. It really looks nice and works well, but we occasionally have to push the "open" or "close" button when the automatic lid gets caught open or partially open, which I don't think is a big deal. We haven't had to change the batteries yet either and with 35 people in and out of there all week, it gets a lot of use. I am not sure I would recommend this product for a high traffic area like our kitchen though. When you throw as much stuff away, as often as we do sometimes triggering the sensor and waiting for it to open is a little bit of a pain. I think it would work better in a household type environment. Overall, I think it was a good purchase and a good value.

I bought this from Walmart for a little less than $35. We've been using it for around a month now, with no problems. It's great, of good size (takes the whole 13 gallon bad), with nice auto features of the right sensitivity, and most of all the best price of others I've seen. It also has a ring to hold the bag in place.

We have had a different brand previously and the top of it broke right off so we had to look for another one. We found this on the website and liked the looks of it, the opinions of other consumers and the price, so we decided to purchase one. One thing is that is said it would take a week to get here, no big deal, it was here in 3 days...awesome!! Once I opened it up and got it set up, I have never loved anything more. It is great to get bags out of, my other one had to have two people to pull on opposite ends to get the garbage out, this one is no problem, more space to use, and the shape is great. It does not stick way out, the top is wide for the garbage to go into. I really cannot say enough about this product. I hope it last me a long time.

I was looking for a trash can to match my other one for recycling without breaking the bank. Came across this one online and could not be happier. From now on I would only have a motion sensor trash can. Very handy. The only minor complaint I have was the fact that the batteries were very difficult to line up properly. Once in, it works perfect.

I saw this at someone's house and so I read the reviews on this and several similar cans. This was by far the most reasonably priced and I watched the video on the manufacture's website before I purchased it. I took into account the issues that many others had with it and I have this to say: 1. IT DOES TAKE A LITTLE GETTING USED TO. I had to figure out the best way to set off the sensor (so that my hand did not get in the way), and the amount of time I had before the lid would close. For the most part it is perfect, and if I find I need more time I make sure to keep something in front of the sensor or just push the "open" button so it stays open as long as I want it to (like when I'm scraping all my dishes and loading the dishwasher). It does open sometimes when I don't mean to, but I have it in a high traffic area and it doesn't seem to bother me like it did other reviewers. It's quiet, and if the trash smells bad it's time to take it out... A couple of times I simply turned it off or repositioned it. (It does keep the smell of the garbage in the can nicely when it's closed) 2. MY KIDS WERE FASCINATED. My older children figured it out quickly and have no problem with it (ages 6-12); however my almost 3 year old son would set it off and then force the lid closed. I didn't want him breaking it so I just turned it off and he quickly lost interest. It hasn't been an issue since. One thing no one else mentioned was there is a tab you can use to open the lid manually if it is turned off. 3. MY DOGS DON'T DIG IN THE TRASH. This was my initial reason for purchasing this item. I have a 200+ pound English Mastiff and a Doberman and they would both dig in the trash. So far, I have had no more messes all over my kitchen floor! I don't think they can smell it as well as my last one (Sterilite brand) and they can't get their nose under the lid (it rests flush against the top). And the top sits nice and securely on the base. They don't set it off even though their food and water is less then 4 feet away from it, and I think it would probably scare them off if it did. That alone has made it worth the little effort to get used to an automatic lid. 4. FYI. The regular brand of bags all fit (I have used Glad, Kirtland, and some no name I had under the sink. They all fit fine.) If you have trouble, watch the video on the manufacture's website and see how they load the bag around the inner ring. I love not seeing the plastic bag hanging out of the can. All in all I'm happy I bought it. Happy Mother's Day to me :)

Trash can looks good. Made of good quality but the sensor is lacking. You practically have to stand directly in front of it to open. Wave your hands a couple of times then it opens. I've tried positioning the can in different areas hoping this would help. But it did not. Looks good. But operation is below average. Glad I paid the sale price. If I had paid full price for this item I would return it.

Love this can. It was a great price after we looked around in store and on the internet. The shipping was cheap and fast and it works great. Others complained about other cans that opened at will but this one opens when u want it to and closes in about 5 seconds. Love it. Getting another for the bathroom.

I had a round one that didn't have a sensor. It was hard to get the bags out. It is so easy to get the bags in and out with this one - more fits into the bags so they go farther (don't use as many bags). We really like the sensor too. And the stainless steel can looks beautiful.
