I bought thid for the features and the good price. The sensor does not work well at all. The manual buttons require you to hold the button down for a couple seconds to open close, which is annoying. And the batteries lasted about a week. Also the tiny little handle (if you can even call it that) makes it very difficult to open manually. I plan on returning this product.

I purchased this trash can for our kitchen area at work a couple of months ago. It really looks nice and works well, but we occasionally have to push the "open" or "close" button when the automatic lid gets caught open or partially open, which I don't think is a big deal. We haven't had to change the batteries yet either and with 35 people in and out of there all week, it gets a lot of use. I am not sure I would recommend this product for a high traffic area like our kitchen though. When you throw as much stuff away, as often as we do sometimes triggering the sensor and waiting for it to open is a little bit of a pain. I think it would work better in a household type environment. Overall, I think it was a good purchase and a good value.

We have had a different brand previously and the top of it broke right off so we had to look for another one. We found this on the website and liked the looks of it, the opinions of other consumers and the price, so we decided to purchase one. One thing is that is said it would take a week to get here, no big deal, it was here in 3 days...awesome!! Once I opened it up and got it set up, I have never loved anything more. It is great to get bags out of, my other one had to have two people to pull on opposite ends to get the garbage out, this one is no problem, more space to use, and the shape is great. It does not stick way out, the top is wide for the garbage to go into. I really cannot say enough about this product. I hope it last me a long time.

I brought this trash can for a pretty penny years ago. It started malfunctioning within the first month and completely stopped working by the third. Due to the cost of the trash can and the lack of options in replacing the lid without adding to my original cost of nearly $100...I've been looking at this broken piece of GARBAGE for five years now! Opening it manually by hand requires some skill if you hope to leave the lid at least on and closed. The tiny little nub you can manually open it with requires both hands practically and you can forget about opening it period if your hands are the least bit slippery, wet or heaven forbid full of yah know, trash you'd like to throw away! Buy anything but this trash can or this brand! Even functioning as a non motion operated Lidded trash can isnt in its capabilities 90% of the time. "inspiring ideas innovation beyond the stars" blah! Replace my trash can or my money! I've spent years staring at a very expensive REGRET that never could be repaired or replaced even whilst in its warranty. Not an upgrade. More like a downgrade. I don't usually leave negative reviews. Mostly I'll go out of my way to leave positive ones. I'm staring at this trash can and it inspired me to seek it out online with my smartphone just to warn everyone else. Don't make my mistake.

I had previously owned a touchless trashcan and my kids 'accidentally' broke the lid. I was so impressed with how long the 1st one lasted and really enjoyed the touchless lid - I never thought twice about purchasing a different trash can. I have owned this one for about a month and it works GREAT!

My greatest complaint is the top lid is flimsy. Once it accidentally comes off you can never again securely put it back in place.. It continually comes off again. Opening the lid in a manual mode is very difficulty with the thin projection. The lid over the battery department did accidentally come off and the battery cover and batteries fell into the trash. I figured out why the trash can stopped working before I threw the trash out and possibly picked up by the garbage man. I was able to find the lid to the battery department and batteries in the trash. Subsequently I had to tape the lid over the battery department to make sure this does not happen again. You have a ring to place the garbage bag over but if someone is not familiar with this trash can you may accidentally discard this also. I would prefer a garbage can with an inner basket that could be pulled out which would be easier to deal with. Battery life is good.

This trash can is worth the price I paid. It replaced another that was all worn out, and now it shines in our kitchen. We have to remind ourselves not to come too close while passing, as the sensor opens the can quickly. We are satisfied completely, and highly recommend it.

This trash is well made and looks nice, but it DOES NOT have an inner bucket liner as described when I purchased it (I've given feedback to ask them to correct the description). The trash bag is held in place by a thin, plastic ring - which was not what I wanted. I didn't bother adding batteries; I simply wrapped it back up and I'm returning it to the store. If you don't mind the ring bag holder, you'll probably be happy with this purchase.

I was a little hesitant to purchase after reading mixed reviews. I am so glad that I did! This trash can is the perfect size and shape, and designed so that the trash bags are filled up without being so jammed that you cannot easily remove them. The open/close sensor is not too sensitive - it opens when you put your hand over it but not if you just walk by or stand near it. It is lightweight but sturdy enough to handle my 3 kids, husband, and dog. And, our hands don't get dirty or "germy" when we throw away trash. A must have for any kitchen!

Love it!!! This was actually purchased for my mother in-law as we already have it. I love that you don't touch the lid of the can and it works beautifully!! You just have to buy batteries, but in the long run it is worth it! (recycle your batteries!!)I shop frequently in the U.S, so this was alot cheaper than we paid in Canada for it. Very recommended!!
