Brushed metal automatic trash can is a nice luxury good, right? Sure. You keep odors from your trash contained and you don't have to touch the lid. Great! The problem with this trash can's design is the lid portion; it's too 'bulky' making it really easy for food scraps or other trash to fall onto the lid instead of into the hole to the trash bag. Dirty trash cans get really smelly and aren't fun to clean. If the opening for the trash can hole were larger - the look and design of this product would be much improved.

I bought this on sale and it was a great buy. The automatic lid is so convenient when you have both hands full. The capacity of the can is good also and it is durable. I was so happy with it I bought two for my son's and their wives as Christmas gifts. The grandkids get a kick out of it too- think it is magic-lol,

This is our second one in 3 years. The first one still works and is in the kitchen, the second is going in another room. Takes 3 "c" cells. Batteries last over a year. Uses 13 gallon trash bags and the rings holds them in place. Have not had a problem yet in 3 years. The price is right, I've seen similar in the store for over 70.00. Also purchased one as a gift.

This is a great looking trash can, and love the touchless sensor which opens and closes the lid. The only downfall to the product is that the metal is very thin, and if you push your trash into the container too hard to condense it, it will dent the canister from the inside out. Likewise if you hit anything into it from the outside. I would still buy again, but am very cautious now.

This is a great trash can, really durable and a nice quality. My husband convinced me I'd love the auto open lid but it drives me crazy. It opens every time I walk by because my hand swings over the top as I turn the corner but we had to put it in a very visible area of our house and wanted something much nicer looking than a plastic bin so it definitely does the trick here. Other than the lid, I love it and would recommend especially if it's not in a walk way! ;-)

Overall, would not recommend if you are looking for long term use of the automated function for durability. But if you are looking for something that looks good, it's a nice high priced can. Will say it started off great (the only reason for two starts) and is still “looking” good but the motor that runs the lid is failingReplaced the batteries and no change. It wants to raise but only raises rough to get your finger under the lid to give it some assistance in raising all the way. Given the price paid, would have expected longer than months usage. Like others have tried reaching out but no responses. Will need to replace and while I like the automatic lid and will likely stay with that option, the manufacture will most definitely change and will look at the mechanism much more closely next time.

I bought this can to keep my dog out of the garbage. It not only took care of this but, I love the idea it opens by itself and I like the sleek and beautiful design. I have gotten many comments by family and friends how they also like it. I have already decided to buy more.

love the garbage can but the battery cover easy falls off and batteries fall out before you notice and toss the garage out. tried many things to keep the batteries in with no luck. for this I wouldnt buy another. no point of having this type of garbage can if you can't use it for its main function which is touch free.

Great product! Sharp looking and definitely looks better than the plastic Rubbermaid trash can that had been in my kitchen. Very quiet operation. Some other reviewers said that the lid "slammed down hard" but I have found that it closes very softly. I love that it has a button to manually keep the lid open for longer periods - other brands lack this feature. Note that the product description says it takes 4-D batteries but it actually takes 3-C batteries.

I got this trash can for my mom for Christmas and she loved it. It was an exceptional deal compared to what they are priced at in stores. It's appearance is really nice and I wish I would've got me one. When I went back online, they were sold out. My mom loves it! Overall, it is a well put together trash can for the price.
