We've had this stainless steel trash can for about 3 weeks now and we absolutely love it! We bought this from walmart.com because we figured if there was a problem, we could easily return it at the local WalMart store. The size is great, it looks great and it works well. We are very happy with our purchase:)

So - we love it for the most part. You need to know that if you place it in a high traffic area - it will be opening all of the time. It is nice because the dog does not set it off - but the whole rest of the family does (mom, dad, duaghter, son). Overall great - but do not plan on it being centrally located!!

So far it works well but I would also like to add, as several others have, that mine came dented. It wasn't worth the trouble to put back in the box and take back. It is thin and may have more dents sooner than later. I love the fact that I don't have to touch anything to dispose of it now. Great for the kitchen. If you have small children, or someone or something that may hit it, it appears to dent easily and unable to plunge back out but worth the slight dent.

I bought this trash can for my mom, she has wanted a stainless steel trash can since we've lived in our new house. I opened it before Christmas to make sure it wasn't damaged and to see if it worked. The box appeared rather small so I assumed the trash can would be little. The trash can is not small after you attach the lid it looks like a normal trash can. The lid is plastic, but it seems to be durable. Over all I'm satisfied with the product.

We had a similar trash can previously from another retailer. This trash can is far superior as to how fast the lid opens automatically. The stainless steel finish is beautiful and shiny and the 13 gallon trash bag is a perfect fit. The size is perfect as it can fit most anyplace in the kitchen.

This purchase has been one of my top ten. The product has allowed me to be hands and feet free of operating it. I could never go back to the press with your foot or the open swinging tops. I'm hooked on this style as we are happy not to touch anything! Makes my food prep so much easier! We love the look and the size is just perfect!!!

This trash can is great, except that its too sensitive. It opens anytime we pass by it. If you don't mind that, then this trash can is perfect for you. On the other hand, it's very durable, easy to clean, and looks great! I get lots of compliments on it.

Brushed metal automatic trash can is a nice luxury good, right? Sure. You keep odors from your trash contained and you don't have to touch the lid. Great! The problem with this trash can's design is the lid portion; it's too 'bulky' making it really easy for food scraps or other trash to fall onto the lid instead of into the hole to the trash bag. Dirty trash cans get really smelly and aren't fun to clean. If the opening for the trash can hole were larger - the look and design of this product would be much improved.

This trash can is a steal for the price. I purchased one to replace my old trashcan that had become dented over time. The shape allows it to hold larger items. It opens for you when your hands are full. You do have to get fairly close to the sensor before it opens.

Bought this around Christmas time on special for $35. This wasn't the original one I was looking at but the price was right and I liked the slim design. The opening isn't super big but I don't think that makes much of a difference. For the most part it is accurate although sometimes its annoying when it closes too soon or opens when I walk by. The design is nice and it does everything I wanted it to. I had no problems ordering through the mail and it arrived quickly and dent free.
