Terrible - do not buy. When to go empty my trash for the first time and the batteries/clip fell into the trash bag (which I didn't know) and I threw my trash away. Have to open the lid every time I go and use the trash can. Opening at the top is small and not ideal. I would not recommend this item!

I love this trash can! It looks good, and was very inexpensive. The motion sensor is great because it's not so sensitive that it opens when you are near it, but when you put your hand in front of it for a second or two, it opens up. My only complaint is that the body of the can is made of very thin metal and it will probably dent very easily. It would be nice if it was sturdier. Overall, it's very functional, attractive, and modern and I would recommend it to everyone who is considering a motion sensor trashcan!

I love this trash can. I bought 2 around Christmas time. One as a gift and one for myself. The one that I gifted stopped working after about a few weeks, but Walmart sent a return ticket and a new one right away. Thanks!! I've had mine for about 5 months now, and it is starting to get slow opening. I changed the batteries and it's the same. I'm not sure if the motor or sensor is going out or what. I do love the trash can though.

I've had this for about two years. After the first six months, it stopped opening fully, so you had to nudge it with your hand to get it to completely open. Now, it doesn't function at all. I've changed batteries, it opens every once in a while. The manual buttons don't work. I suppose two years is a lot for a Nines Stars product. Going to try another brand now and hope for better electronics.

After only 9 months, the lid is already malfunctioning. The lid no longer automatically opens when the sensor is engaged. The open button doesn't work. When I push the close button, the lid will open, but when I hit the close button again, the lid will close momentarily and then automatically pop back up 2 seconds later and stay open. I have replaced the batteries, but it is still malfunctioning. I would recommend getting a foot level trash can and avoid this headache.

This is a sleek looking trash can. I really just wanted a stainless finish, but not necessarily automatic opening. After reading reviews for this can on another site I decided to purchase. It has not disappointed me. The lid does open sometimes if I pass to close to it and the sensor picks up my hand, but it's really not a bother. It runs on 3 C batteries and other reviewers have said they last up to a year. Overall, I'm impressed with the quality and value for this trash can and my purchase of it through Walmart (which was less expensive than other retailers).

I got it about two weeks ago. It is easy to instal and easy to use. It has a ring around it to keep the plastic liner in place and yet it does not show. Good design. I bought this for my kitchen trash. I love it, so I bought an 11 gallon model one for my recycling stuff. Nice looking.

Saw this trash can after looking for a regular can to replace our old can. We have a child and I wanted something with a pedal because I sometimes have my hands full. The sensor takes a little getting use to but we love it and people that come over and use it really seem to like it.

Wow...this thing is AWESOME. Looked around at a lot of trash cans but so many of them are crazy expensive (for a trash can!). Anyway, this thing is perfect. It fills up my trash bag all the way now (my other one didn't) and I LOVE the touchless lid thing. I can't believe I've lived without it for so long. Great can...seems durable...buy it!

Ordering from Wal-mart's website was a very easy process from start to finish. They kept me updated via email on my item's shipping schedule. The trash can works wonderfully. I've had it for two weeks now and even my husband admitted to liking it. My 11-year old son thinks it is "so cool." I love that you don't have to touch anything to get the trash can to open or close. The only drawback I have found is that even though the instructions say you can pull the trash bag through the rim liner so you won't be able to see it on the outside, I haven't been able to accomplish that. It doesn't bother me though - all trash cans show the bag a little bit - this one shows it even less normal.
