I loved this trash can when i fitrst got it. Opens and closes automatically. Then the entire battery housing fell out in the trash. Of course we didnt notice it until we took the trash out. Sorry notvworth digging through disgusting trash to find. Replacement cost? $40. Eeek!

First time receiving this product through the mail there was a HUGE dent in the side of it. I sent it back and had a new one sent to me within 4 days. The second trash can I received also had a dent but was smaller and less noticeable. I was in desperate need of a trash can so I contacted Walmart and they gave me a very generous discount. So far the trash can works great. There are times when it wont detect our movement but that could be because it is in a darker area of the room. It looks good and seems to hold a lot of trash!

I was a bit hesitant to purchase this product, as I initially wanted a manual step-type trash can and did not know what to expect with a motion sensor can. But, considering it was actually cheaper than the step can I wanted, I decided to take the risk-- knowing if I hated it I could easily return it. I am so glad I took the chance! I love this trash can! I never knew what I was missing out on before by not having the motion sensor. It makes it really easy to dispose of trash when your hands are full and it is fast and easy. No gross messes or "slipping" of the trash can like with the pedal-type. We keep ours next to the counter with our other stainless steel appliances and it fits in perfectly. We usually change the bag every 3-4 days so it last quite awhile. Definitely recommend!

This is a nice well made trash can that accepts the standard 13 gallon trash bags. It arrived in perfect condition. The sensor lifting lid is nice but can be a bit annoying. Depending where the trash can is place if you walk past it it will open. Since our trash can sits at the end of a counter that is by the main walk way I decided to use it for recycle in the mud room rather than return it. There it is out of the way and works perfectly for this. Again, it's placement that matters. Otherwise, this unit is great and works as it should.

I made this purchase for the bathroom. My mom is 101 and legally blind. This unit simply adds independence to her daily needs. I don't understand the negative reviews I read. All products have an occasional lemon & Sam's has an easy return policy when that happens. I do plan on buying one more for the kitchen. Very great product.

I saw this first in Washington state this summer, and just had to have one!!! After searching several websites, I found Walmart was the cheapest, so I ordered it. It's fantastic!! No more struggling to open the lid when I have my hands full of trash!! I especially like the fact that the bag stays in place and doesn't go to the bottom of the can if you throw in a heavy peice of trash ( jars, etc). I would absolutely recommend this product.

I purchased this item to replace a manual stainless trash can that I had paid well over twice as much for several years ago. This Nine Stars Motion Sensor Touchless trash can is not only comparable in appearance and construction but is one of the coolest gadgets I've see in some time. As you move your hand towards the trash can the lid automatically opens allowing you to dispose of your trash and then after a brief pause quietly closes. It is of solid construction and has worked flawlessly. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a stylish and very functional high tech trash can.

I bought this trash can to go in my apartment and I absolutely love it. It looks great and functions well. I shopped around a lot before purchasing and this was the best product for the money. I call it my Jedi trash can. All my friends are envious. lol

This has become a conversation piece in the kitchen. Everyone wants one and likes to wave their hand over it to see it pop open. Very attractive finish and makes life so much easier. Before, I was using plastic grocery bags in a plastic container under the sink. Everytime I had to slide open the door, reach iniside and dump something in ... and then all the garbage was exposed under the sink ... uggg. Get one, or two !

Could the sensor be farther from the trash can lid in future versions? I just went to throw something out with the lid closed and moved my hand to the top of the trash container, and it opened and touched my hand. I bought this for COVID 19 safety and im dissapointed that the sensor is not far enough from the lid. It caused me to surpisingly touch the top of the lid when i thought that didn’t happen. Maybe a foot controlled trash can that is made of metal would be better. Do not buy unless this can is 19.99 or less. I wouldnt buy it even at that point. You’d have to pay me more than $300 to take this broken trash can because its embarassing to throw out an auto trash can. It wouldnt even git in another tradh can. There should be a product recall in my opinion. I hope this review gets through. Thanks for delivering it with the shipping cost built in. The delivery people deserve a raise.
