We inherited my daughter's medium large dog who would get into the kitchen garbage because it was an open can. When we purchased this one, I was a little concerned that if Marley Moose stepped near the Nine Stars product it would pop open. Then it would become a foraging toy for the dog. So far this is not the case, so life is good. Other than that, the product works as expected and holds a standard kitchen garbage bag of 13 gallons. Since it is a recent acquisition, cannot comment on battery life of the C-size batteries it requires.

This is was a replacement for one that was three years old. We have been very happy with this can so we replaced with the same. I have have other touchless cans but this has by far been the best. Batteries last a long time, there is no lip on the can making it hard to get the full bags ou, and overall a good buy for the money.

When I wanted an additional trash can to use for recycling, I didn't expect it to be so difficult to find one that would a) be stainless steel so it looked nice next to my other trash can, b) be 13-gallon so my regular trash can liners would fit it, c) have a way of opening without using my hands, and d) be reasonably priced. I looked a lot locally but everything I found that I liked was $90 or higher. I'm glad I finally looked online. I knew this can would need batteries of some kind to operate, but I wasn't expecting 3 C batteries. In full disclosure, it was probably somewhere on the product page and I missed it. But that was the only hiccup in getting it set up. After a quick trip to the store, got it running properly and it has been working well in the several weeks since. I really appreciated free shipping to home. That made the purchase easy and seamless. Good product and simple ordering!

i have had this trash can for about two weeks now and I love it! It looks great and have had no problems with it. Only draw back i have is that it takes a few minutes to install the trash bag inside. But other than that, it's a great asset to my kitchen and i am glad i purchased it. I recommend this product!!

Bought this for my mother for Mother's Day. Yeah, I know. Who would buy their mother a trash can but that's what she wanted. A sleek looking trash can that she didn't have to pump with her foot. Found this and read the reviews and thought I'd try it. This trash can is great. So easy to use, so easy to change the trash bags. and great looking as well. Looked around online and in stores and this was the best value by far. Motion sensor works like a charm. Glad I purchased it for her. Might have to buy one for myself!!

The trash can works great, no problems so far with the automatic opening. Holds the trash bag really good, even when I drop something heavy in there. My issue was with the packaging, not the product. The box was dented which cause the can to be dented also. Thankfully, it was in the back and I was able to pop out about 90% of the dent so I decided it wasn't worth the hassle of returning and getting another. I love the look and size also!

Ordered this trash can because of a big dog in the family who gets in the trash-won't open for the dog. First time my husband used it, he jumped back when the lid opened. Very funny. I love its large capacity and the fact that if my hands are full of trash, it opens for me! Very attractive stainless steel in addition. We love the trash can.

I really like this garbage can. It is cheaper than the old school step cans, that I was looking at inside the store. So far it seems durable, easy enough for my three year old to use it. And tough enough to stop my German Sheppard/chow mix for digging in the trash. Which is my main purpose of buying this garbage can. The only thing I don't like is the main power switch is on the inside of the trash can, right at the top of the can. For some reason I thought this would be at the backside of the trash can, on th outside. But no big deal. I still really enjoy it.

I was looking for a stainless steel trash can to go with my stainless steel appliances. I was a little hesitant about buying this trash can because of the negative reviews but there were more positive ones than bad ones. I do have to say that I am so far pleased with my purchase. It looks great in my kitchen with my stainless steel appliances. It is a little pricey but it has meet my expectations. I can't vouch for the durability since I have only had it for a short bit of time.

Although I've only had the merchandise for about a week ...so far, it exceeds all my expectations. It arrived in excellent condition. The style and finish are beautiful and assembly was super E-Z. It was much less expensive than the Simplehuman competitor and takes regular 13 gal trash bags, so I don't have to buy ones that are more costly. Touchless mechanism works well. I'm very pleased.
