After reading several of the reviews stating that product was dented when it came out of the box I had the clerk at the Ship To Store counter in my local Walmart open the box and inspect it for damage before I accepted it. The can was absolutly flawless. We are very happy with the trash can. My wife is very short, only 4' 11" and when she walks past the can her hands or arm will occasionaly cause the can to open but it is no big deal due to the fact that it is almost dead silent when it operates. The plastic ring that holds the bag works very well but did take three bag changes to get the procedure down. Unlike my previous step pedal can that claimed to be a 13 gallon capacity the 13 gallon bag is full when you remove it. When my old can was packed full and you removed the bag the bag was only a little over half full. (a big waste of bag capacity). We have used this can about 4 weeks and we love it.

It's looks good in the kitchen and is very convenient. Sounds goofy, but I was sick and tired of having to open the cabinet below the sink to throw away trash. Now it's so easy to turn around and dump the junk--with no mess. It's a bit pricey, but sure is convenient. I may buy another smaller one to use for trash, and change my use of this one to recycling.

Fits more trash than my nasty old white plastic receptacle. It also does a good job of containing any unpleasant odors. My husband complains that the reaction time of the sensor is too slow..but I think he's just being overly critical - creature of habit always has difficulty with new things : ) . It looks great in our kitchen with our other stainless steel appliances.

This product is excellent, it is my second one for my home and family. Kids have gotten lazy now, and will not touch the lid of other trash cans (8 & 10 yrs old). I have owned one since 2007 and found this one on Walmarts website for a price much less than I paid before from BJs in Galloway Township NJ. This one only uses 3 C cell batteries which are cheaper than the D cell batteries my old one uses. My family and friends all love the "futuristic" trash can when they visit, they all like watching it operate, thereby they clean up behind themselves lol. Wonderful product, durable and reliable, no oders escape during the short period the lid is open and it holds just the right amount of trash.

Ordered this trash can because of a big dog in the family who gets in the trash-won't open for the dog. First time my husband used it, he jumped back when the lid opened. Very funny. I love its large capacity and the fact that if my hands are full of trash, it opens for me! Very attractive stainless steel in addition. We love the trash can.

We LOVE this product. This is our 3rd trash can from this company over the years. The only bad thing we have to say is that the lid tends to only last a few years (but that could be caused by me cleaning it so hard). The other thing you have to watch for is kids pushing the lid to close. Other than that this is the best invention ever. And everyone that comes to our house thinks it is the coolest thing. Don't have enough good things to say. We tried the ones with the peddals and they broke more quickly and cost more. Would highly recommend this product!!! One year we even bought one for every member of the family at Christmas because they liked it so much.

This is was a replacement for one that was three years old. We have been very happy with this can so we replaced with the same. I have have other touchless cans but this has by far been the best. Batteries last a long time, there is no lip on the can making it hard to get the full bags ou, and overall a good buy for the money.

Read the reviews purchases anyway. My trashcan is light the collar holds on to the bag nicely. I have used the can now for a week and no issues woth the operation of the opening. I was sitting in the living roon and heard something settle in the garbage can, no big deal.. Decided to tidy up and take garbge out later that morning. After replacing the lner and putting the collar back on I replaced the top and went to throw something away and the top wouldnt operate. I turned the switch on and off; the swirch is across the opening of the can from the battery compartment. Anyway it wouldnt work, I looked closer and the batteries and cover were gone. Spontaneously the cover and all 3 C batteries fell into the trach I just threw out. Thank goodness I hadnt gone to the dumpster yet poor design. I think the C batteries are to heavy for the cover. I taped the cover shut. Just be wary as Im glad I read the reviews

absolutely love it! it is definitely great quality for the price plus the sizes perfect for where I need it. my only gripe that it is ultrasensitive so anytime anybody just walks by it opens and shuts repeatedly. and the noise freaks out my cats, just a matter of acclimating to the sound but I would definitely recommend to get this.

Very nice trash can. Not only does it look sharp, but I really like the operation. The lid pops open upon the sensor of your hand, so you don't even have to touch it to open it up. I like that a lot, especially when I'm cleaning up and don't want to touch anything until I've washed my hands.
