Scotts Turf Builder Triple Action(I) will kill actively growing broadleaf weeds and prevent grassy weeds that are listed on the label. It will not prevent broadleaf weeds (before or after the application) and it will not kill existing crabgrass or other grassy type weeds. For broadleaf weed control temperatures must be consistently (several days in a row) between 60 and 80°F. For listed grassy weeds to be prevented this has to be applied before the target grassy weeds germinate. The lawn must be wet for the product to stick to the broadleaf weed leaves. The product must remain on the weed leaves for 24 hours. After the first 24 hours the product must be watered in, this will help with the prevention of the weeds listed as being prevented such as crabgrass. We want you to be confident in our products. I am sorry you were disappointed with Scotts Turf Builder Triple Action. The weeds may temporarily appear healthier and greener after using this product as the active ingredient causes the weeds to grow themselves to death. The weeds will die within a 2 to 4 week period, depending on temperature conditions.
