Decent TV at a Good Price

This replaced a comparable Vizio that died 12.5 months into the 12 month warranty. The action and image processing is good, superior to the Vizio, clarity and detail is not as good. Both served as TV and monitor; the Vizio was great as monitor, this one a better TV. Poor at handling text, very poor!

It's a decent tv for the price, but glitchy.

The picture's color isn't very vibrant. The top left corner of the tv screen on our tv is darker than the rest of the tv's screen. Channels like Pluto and Peacock close out randomly. It turns them off and goes to the home screen in the middle of a show. This happens the most frequently with Pluto. I have an iView (PVR) that you can watch and record live tv with. It's hooked to the tv. When I press the 1 button on the iView's remote, the tv starts powering off. That glitch is very annoying. When I pick the leveling option for the sound setting on the tv, it will work temporarily. However, the sound stops working. It does work better than the TCL tv, but it is kind of glitchy.

Would not recommend

Bought this for our playroom and honestly, I wish I paid a little more for something better. I love that its a smart TV but this thing freezes all the time and closes apps while in use. You can usually turn it off and on again and it will work but it's so slow and glitchy and unpredictable.

Not designed for wall mount!!

I'm sure it's a fine TV but it's TERRIBLY designed and won't work with a normal wall mount. The HDMI inputs point out the back perpendicularly and also line up directly with the wall mounting holes. I tried two different mounts and neither of them would fit if you intend to plug in an HDMI cable.

terrible

bought this tv for my daughter it worked fine for about 5 months than it started not to power on from time to time now it doesn't want to power on at all i got insurance for it the tv was $118 before tax and insurance they only gave me $105 back if i bought her a replacement tv and it cost more than the $118 i paid for this tv then they would give me the remaining $13 they didn't give me back last time i buy a Phillips ive never had any issues when I've owned an lg or Samsung tv i hope this helps those considering buy this tv

Lives up to Philip's reputation! Love it!!!

You get what you pay for, right? That's the old saying, but there's just as much to be had for doing your homework, combined with personal experience. I can't speak for everyone, but the majority of Philip's products I've had are above average quality at a below average price. That's the win here. Ok, read the reviews, some ended up with a junk one, but their mass produced. Anything mass produced is going to have a few bad eggs here and there. Here's what people should acknowledge, this is true of ALL brands. Philip's, Vizio, Toshiba, Element, Samsung, LG, etc, their all mass produced so any of them can yield good or bad products. At this point, it's the luck of the draw. Still, I got a good one and typically do get good products from Philip's. So I'm happy. Simple.

No Ethernet, bad WiFi constant buffering!

This is a great little TV, having the Roku as the main system is great. One MAJOR problem, it has no ethernet connection, there was no specific mention of its networking capabilities in the description, WiFi is just not good enough for streaming, and with this TV it's constantly buffering, even with lower resolutions. If I had known it had no ethernet I would have kept looking, but my big TV died and I needed one in a hurry, was looking at this brands larger TV, but then started seeing the buffering, looking for a better brand!

Junk

I bought this TV around 2 years ago and it has been a problem since. The WiFi was always screwed up no matter how many times I reset it. I have 3 other Roku TVs and don't have a problem with them. I went to turn it on today and it's dead. Won't turn on or anything. I will never buy anything Phillips again!!!

How long do you think this LED should last?

I bought this tv less than 4 months ago from Walmart. Imagine my surprise today when I turned it on and got a dark screen and a blinking red LED! Those teo things are never good. Went thru all the procedures to reset the tv. Nothing. Don't know if its an isolated case but be warned. Now I gotta go thru the warranty repair/ replace dance. Good luck fellow shoppers.

Too small

The tv in the box was a 28 not a 32 as the box stated and it is not worth the trip back to change it out so 28 is what I get. So far so good on the picture but sound could be better. Does all the Roku stuff I need it to do so building a stand so it sits higher and using a sound bar so i can hear better.

Hi Savannah,The measurement of the TV screen size uses the industry standard practice of measuring the screen diagonally, not side to side. Very sorry for the confusion, but the TV screen is 32 inches measured diagonally. We hope you continue to enjoy your purchase.
