The picture on this TV is among the best I have ever seen. Intuitive software practically setup the TV for me. The sound is crisp and clear and the design of the tv is very tasteful. The only issue (though I will not call it a real issue) is that a couple of my standard definition cable channels are not as clear as on my previous "smaller" LCD flat panel tv. Maybe just the difference in screen size bring more imperfections into sight....however, with the superior picture and clarity over my previous tv on other SD and HD channels, this is a moot point for me.

My new Samsung 40" Ultra HD Smart TV is everything that other reviewers said it would be. Easy set-up, light weight and amazing picture to instant you turn it on. When asked about my cable box the Smart TV said it would need a few minutes to research and find that information. After a few minutes my picture signal was good to go. Great color, tint, brightness and back ground. This is going to be fun. Thanks Samsung.

Even though 4K broadcasts are not being received, the 4K UHD picture (and sound) are great. The remote is smart, but lacks the conveniences that we prefer of additional (conventional) buttons. Simplified is nice, but all the conveniences are not there without a lot more click, select, click, click, select, click, click, click (etc.). Thanks Samsung: Great product.

When you first turn on this TV and set it to your go-to shows you are taken aback by how real the characters appear. It is as if you are on the set of the show you are watching and an integral part of the action. It is like having your own gateway or portal to another place in space and time. The detail and color are remarkable and the sound is great. I am a die-hard Samsung owner and would recommend this TV to anyone.

Simply amazing. NOTHING went wrong with the setup. Beautiful startup and the steps to configure your TV were just perfect. The Wireless setup was error-free. Auto detection of the cable box and configuring the remote was error-free. I configured NetFlix, Hulu, and the interface was so easy to use. (Bye Bye Roku) - The web browser wasn't too bad, the pointer could be updated but facebook on a 50" tv is nothing to complain about. A+ on technology and auto setup. No errors Putting the handle on TV was pretty easy as well. The TV is pretty light for the size. Now, the amazing beautiful crisp clean picture. The Olympics has never looked so good (or interesting). I work in Software and have found flaws in many applications, so I could not wait to give an A+ review.

Just got this TV over the weekend. Was through the setup process and streaming 4k content withing an hour. Bright and true colors, lots of options for tuning the picture as desired. Sound is surprisingly good for such a thin chassis. The glare when viewing from the side in a bright room is annoying but, In all, very happy!

I picked this up on sale so it was an exceptional value. Picture and features are outstanding. It has 3 HDMI ports so for some that might be limiting. I'm not sure if it can display HDR or just read it (I have read both so I'm not for sure). Either way, the picture with 4K content and 1080P content is great! I was worried about sports with a 60Hz pannel but I haven't noticed any problems. It works great for what I bought it for and I would highly recommend it.

You need 2 people to set up the stand. When I got stuck in the set up process, I called the Samsung help line and they were great, patient and confident that we would get it done. The ability to change audio to Sports, Movies, etc. is easy. I would recommend a Samsung soundbar which comes on when powering up.

4K and Ultra HD are great. What a difference from my old HD tv. I would highly recomend a Samsung 4K tv. Called customer service twice...very professional, did not have to wait and answered my questions. Have had the tv a month and I am very satisfied.

The setup was relatively easy except for selecting the right sound mode for connecting to my receiver system, bitmap or PCM. The documentation, including the Emanuel did not provide any information on this. It was through trial and error that PCM was the correct choice, otherwise I would lose the receiver connection and sound whenever you changed channels or skipped ads on the DVR. Other than this frustration, everything else works fine,especially the wireless connection to the internet for watching Amazon movies, etc.
