Great Tire

I have a 2006 Ram 2500 Quad that has 71000 miles on the original 10 year old tires, and there's still a lot of tread left but I'm replacing them with the same tire because of light cracks in side wall. these LT 265/70 R17's surpassed my expectations on a 4 Wheel drive vehicle.

Tires were Awful!

I bought a brand new suv with these tires. After taking it into the dealership for service, they told me I needed new tires. I was floored. The car is less than 2 years old and only has 23,700 miles. I drive around town and drive the freeways on the weekends. Nothing extreme, simple driving. Very disappointing with the life of this tire.

great tire

Just put LT285 75 16 Rugged terrains on my 1999 Jeep Wrangler, good looking tire that is Quiet and works well in rain, daily driver in southern FL. will be adding P285 70 17 's to my 2013 wrangler when the originals wear out. This has been a great tire and is lighter than most others. Glad BF Goodrich offers a tire like this rather than the standard heavy truck LT tire.

Excellent wear on 2008 FJ Crusier

Stock tires on my 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser (6 speed manual all time 4x4). These tires aren't the best for off road (poor mud performance), but they did extremely well on road and for occasional off roading. At 52,000+ miles they are evenly worn with a few thousand left to go (my rotations weren't even consistant). I'm just now upgrading to a competitors M/T, but it was tuff deciding between BF Goodrich's M/T and the competions. The deciding factor was noise on road, looks, and reviews. After you have 50,000 on your 4x4, you're more likely to take it off road. These were great tires.

Not worth the price tag

I bought a set of these from a guy that had them on his 1 ton truck, he had them on for less than a year and under 2,000 miles. I can see why he sold them for so cheap, they have a very harsh ride quality. They do wear evenly which is a good sign but when I hit a bump...hold on for dear life. I have new shocks and no leaf spring issues but these tires don't help absorb any of that force from hitting a bump. Snow, wet and slushy road conditions are the enemy of this tire, terrible traction. Be ready to use your four wheel drive even with the lightest of snow fall. If you drive a GM truck with traction control oand stabilitrack, keep that turned off with these tires and your 4WD ready. I can see why the previous owner got rid of these for cheap, I see them for sale all the time for dirt cheap on local websites. It's time BF Goodrich stops overcharging for tires just because of the name. I used to have the 33 inch mud terrains but after these tires, never again

Record Wear

I have a F350 King Ranch Dually and have 138,400 Miles on my original factory BF Goodrich 17" tires, they have never been off the truck to date, and still going. Never rotated, never anything done to them except 1 plug from a nail hole. Maybe have 5,000 miles life left then time for new ones.

rugged trail vs all terrain t/a ko2

Dear bfg we are original owners of a 2007 Ford f 150 4x4 supercrew with 105,000 the original factory installed rugged trails were replaced in 2012 at 53,000 miles we now are ready to replace the second with the before mentioned 105,000 miles they are wearing very evenly but are starting to get some cracks between tread we live in Chicago so we have all four seasons here we don't do any off road driving so I'm thinking. Of just staying with the rugged trails for a third time they ride and handle awesome in snow they grip great but I also use the four wheel drive if needed I was contemplating the a/t ko2 we mostly drive highway but I'm wondering your thoughts the rugged trail s really gave me good mileage and we 've rotated as instructed All and any advice would be greatly appreciated THANKS AGAIN FOR A GREAT PRODUCT!

Very poor mileage from the tires

On a 2015 Nissan Frontier Pro-4X Crew cab. Have less than 30,000 miles on the tires and they have been rotated usually ever 5,000. Most of the mileage has been highway miles. Have used T/A radials on numerous trucks and was satisfied. This set of tires is a great big DISAPPOINTMENT. To be worn out at this low of mileage, ridiculous!!! Status of tires have been verified by Nissan dealer plus a tire store.

Poor mileage

I purchased a set in December of 2014 for my 2011 Ram 1500 4x4. Tires wore pretty evenly. The ride was comfortable and I had minimal road noise with them. They performed well on mostly road/highway miles, in dry conditions and some snow and rain. Some off-road but not much about 70/30. My complaint is the longevity of the tire. I was told my the dealer I would get around 50K out of the tire. I only got around 30K miles. I drive less then 12,000 miles a year and I rotated them regularly and never drove on a low tire. Very disappointed in the long term wear of the tire I didn't buy another set and probably never will. I think BF Goodrich has good tires, just not this one.
