Good for what you get

This is a great product if you are looking for something small yet has lots of features. My daughter loves it...especially the sound effects it makes when "boiling" or "frying" some play food. It was fairly easy to put together but you definately need an automatic screwdriver. Screwing through multiple levels of plastic with a hand screwdriver doesn't work - and there are no predrilled holes!

Great deal!

We purchased this item for our 18 month old daughter. It took about 30-45 minutes for my husband and I to assemble it. The directions were very clear, and we didn't have any problems with pre-drilled holes. I would recommend a cordless screwdriver (not a drill!) it would have made assembly take about 20 minutes. So far, the phone is her favorite thing! By the way, on the phone is a label that looks like caller ID. The phone number is for the manufacturer. I think this is a brilliant and very consumer friendly touch. If you have any questions, the number is right there!

Grandaughter Loved It

Better than expected. Directions were fairly clear. Some pictures could have been more detailed to facilitate putting it together. Explanation of how the burner works would have been nice. The pans have to be on the burner. The telephone might be more fun if the sounds could be heard without having the phone to ear. Hard for kid to push buttons while holding it to ear. Overall, good product and WalMart beat all other prices.

Great Kitchen set!

I bought this kitchen for my 2yr old son for Christmas. He loves it! It's not too girly like a lot of the other kitchen sets. It is very sturdy and durable. He is a rough and tumble kind of kid and it holds up to him! The only accessories I bought extra were a shopping cart and play food. Other than that it comes with the plates, cups, bowls, s/p shakers.

Love it

I am very happy with this product. It was easy to put together (i just needed help with a couple of screws). It is the perfect size for my daughter. She loves to put the pots on the stove so it makes noise. It is like she is actually cooking. It has a lot of room for all her food and other accessories. She will use it for a long time to come. My neighbor, who is 9, likes to play with it too. I actually wish it was my kitchen.

Good Value

I have 3 and 4 year old boys who love to watch Emeril before bed- and they love to pretend cooking in this kitchen. I am also expecting a little girl in the spring- so I should be able to get a lot of play time out of the $74. My husband assembled it on Christmas eve after a few coctails at a party and he was able to finish in about an hour- so I would say they assemble is pretty simple. I had to buy extra pots and pans and food for them to play with- but I expected that at this price. I know it will be a hit with little friends and family too.

We just got this kitchen for our daughter for Christmas. She loved it from the start. We had to pry her away from it, and she had a fit. She loves to "cook" and serve us food, and she's not even 2 yet. It's a great learning toy, and it's even fun to play along with her. Assembly wasn't as hard as I had expected it to be. There are a few places that don't have pre-drilled holes, but it's nothing a drill doesn't take care of. I put the decals on first, and it was really easy. We bought food as well, because it doesn't come with any. I enjoy having this product, and look forward of getting many years of good use out of it.

Step 2 Kitchen Review

I was impressed with the quality of this product for the price paid. I purchased this kitchen for my granddaughter who was turning 2 years old. The little ones at her party swarmed this kitchen when it was brought into the living room. They all seemed to love it and there are plenty of features to go around for multiple children playing at the same time.

Wonderful play kitchen!

My 21 month old son received this for Christmas and has really been enjoying it. He especially likes putting a pot on the burner and hearing the pretend cooking noise. He has not had any trouble opening and closing the frig or microwave. There is a lot of storage space with this kitchen which is very helpful for storing the dishes and food that came with it.

Great little kitchen!

I got this for my 2 yr old daughter for Christmas. It fits well in my kitchen and she can cook at the same time I am and have her own space. The sound effects are really cute and it does have a phone which makes sounds as well, although it's quiet. It comes with a pot and pan, two lids 6 pieces of silverware, and 2 plates and 2 bowls. Just enough to be fun, and not overwhelming. I do wish the microwave had real buttons that made noise too, but she doesn't mind. Over all it's great, and I'm sure she will get several years worth of play out of it.
