Great deal

The assembly was fairly easy, not too time consuming. There were a couple of screw holes missing which made it a little more time consuming and difficult to assembly, buy overall really not bad. My granddaughter LOVES it and I am really pleased with the quality, size and functionality. It's really quite cute and I would highly recommend this kitchen if you are looking for a mid range set and are concerned about space...it's perfect.

Best kitchen! Would buy again!

We LOVE this kitchen! I bought it for my 2 daughters ages 3 and almost 2. They love it and play with it daily! I love the realistic details, the red "granite" counters and the "stainless steel" appliances make it a very attractive addition to their room. The microwave and oven came with stickers as the buttons and stuff, not actual electric sounds. I knew that Step 2 made sounds for them, as we used to have the step 2 deluxe kitchen which did have electric buttons for the microwave and oven. I called step 2 and ordered the electric panels to replace with the stickered panels, since my daughters love to push buttons so much, they arrived and fit perfectly on the kitchen, making it even better. We love the sounds the burner makes too, there is a frying sound, or a boiling sound which the different pans make the different noises when placed on the burner. We always know when the kids get up in the morning because we can hear them "cooking" breakfast for us! I was a little worried that this might be a little small for 2 kids to share together, because we used to have the deluxe kitchen which is a lot bigger. We sold ours when we moved because it was too big for our new apartment. My daughters play with this kitchen much more than they played with the old one, and they do have enough room to play together. I like that it's a lot of kitchen for a smaller space, it still has all the main appliances and it's still very fun! I would say I like this one even more than the deluxe, even though it's smaller. It's a great value too, I used the site to store shipping and saved even more. We're definetly going to keep this around for a long time, and our new baby can play with it one day too.

Great toy for toddlers

My son is 19 months old and loves anything related the the kitchen or cooking. So I figured this would be a good Christmas gift. It was pretty easy to put together. I am 9 months pregnant and was able to put it together on my own with a normal (not electric) screwdriver a few nights before Christmas. The only complaint is that there are a few holes not drilled into the plastic for the screws. Lucky for me, these weren't in important spots so I was able to leave those out. Not ideal, but it works and I believe it's still safe for my son to use. A lot of the pieces are already together, which is helpful. However, I've had problems getting the faucet in properly. It's still fine for my son to play with, but it is wobbly. He could probably pull it out of the sink area if he wanted to. The kitchen set is not huge. I've seen others that are much larger. If my son were much older- say about 5- I might complain about that. But he's small and the kitchen set is a good medium sized one. It's not tiny, but it doesn't take up a ton of space, either. Had it cost more I would have been a bit annoyed by how few dishes and such it came with, but I think the extras are just fine for the price. There also isn't much storage space. The little basket on the bottom right holds some fake food, but not much. But that's ok. There is space on top of the kitchen for holding any additional accessories you might buy. The phone it includes is impressive. Most little kid phones look very fake and my son wants nothing to do with them. But the phone included looks real so my son walks around talking into it. It's already holding up to a lot of abuse as my little boy swings the doors open and shut and plays and plays and plays with it. I think this will be a gift that will last years and years and years and multiple children. For the price I don't think you could find a better value with more features that will last long. It's a great buy and I'm glad I got it. Oh, the box is big so you'll need an suv or truck to pick it up from the store. There's no way this would fit in my sedan.

Great Value for a Great Kitchen Set

We looked thoroughly at each and every kitchen set before deciding on this one for our daughters for Christmas. We are VERY pleased with our decision! Our daughters (4 and 2) just love this kitchen set. We had debated getting the "walk-in" kitchen set for nearly double the price thinking that perhaps it was better in some way to justify the huge price difference. I'm so glad we didn't go for that one b/c when I saw it displayed in Sam's it was so puny that my 4 year old would have had to duck down to get inside and the 2 of them would've been cramped to play in there at the same time. This kitchen set easily accommodates more than one child playing at a time. My husband assembled it easily in our walk-in closet and didn't report any problems with building it at all. We are missing the frying pan accessory that is supposed to come with it but I'll be contacting Step2 for a replacement. The burner has real life sounds that help to fuel the imagination. Put the pot on the burner and it makes bubbling noises to mimic boiling water. Put the frying pan on the burner, and it makes sizzling noises of frying food! There are plenty of drawers and storage space for all of their kitchen accessories. There is even a silverware drawer to store the plastic cutlery! All in all this kitchen set is a big hit in our house and I am thrilled with the accessories and features of this set at such a reasonable price. We ordered this online at Walmart.com and had it delivered free with their Site to Store delivery option (something that was not offered with all kitchen sets). So it was even more of an outstanding value!! Two little thumbs up (and smiling faces) for this kitchen set!

Great Kitchen

My Daughter is 4 1/2 years old and this kitchen is a perfect fit for her. We chose this item because it was taller than similiar items we've seen online. The Refridge , Microwave , stove and pantry are user friendly ( comes with pot/pan set , Salt peper shaker and dishes ) The stove makes boiling and frying sounds when pans are placed on the stove !! Plenty of storage for plastic foods etc. within the kitchen If your looking for a high quality , detailed kitchen, this item will not disappoint !!! Easy to assemble to .. I highly recomend this Kitch for children 3 - 6 years old.

Great Gift

My 2 year old absolutely loves this kitchen...it was easy to assemble (took 30 min from box to play) and lots of fun sounds and doors and drawers. I would reccommend this product. It is pretty small in size so if you are looking to get this product for several children to enjoy at once, it can really only accomodate up to 3 children tops. It is better for 1 or 2 children to enjoy!

Great Kitchen

I was not looking to purchase a kitchen for my daughters (1.5 + 5.5) . I thought most of them were overpriced and too large, also I believe a little more in actual play. However, my niece has this kitchen (1.5) and they loved it so much that for the price at walmart.com I had to get it. They use it almost everyday.

Great Learning Toy!

My 3 year old son received this for Christmas. His therapist recommended a kitchen for him to expand his play and pretend skills. I wanted something that wasn't girly. He loves it and plays with it all the time. I put it together for the most part, my husband put in a few screws that I could not, and it still only took about 20 mins total. I was looking for something very sturdy, because my son is very rough with his toys. I already have the toybox by Step 2 and knew this would be great and I was right! He loves the phone and noises that the stove makes when you cook on it. And it is helping him with his skills, he pretends to make us all food and drinks, and to clean up in the sink afterwards. I highly recommend this kitchen for any child!

A great toy!

My granddaughter loves this little kitchenette! It keeps her busy, pretending to imitate mommy in the kitchen. For Christmas, she had the table all set for us with all of the "food" she made. It's a neat gift for a little girl 4 yrs. old. It was easy to assemble and is very sturdy. Worth the price.

Christmas present from Santa

I bought the kitchen for my three girls, 5, 1 1/2, and 4 months, as a Christmas present. It was easy to put together, although the company did not create screw holes in the plastic, so my husband had to start some of the screws for me. The girls like how the range makes the sounds and the middle daughter is always talking on the phone. There is some storage space to keep dishes and food. The girls like to cook in there kitchen at the same time that I am cooking dinner. Keeps them occupied for atleast an hour a day. We have the childrens kitchen set up in the kitchen, so they can incorporate the table into playtime also. One sits at the table as the other serves the meal. Overall, of the kitchens that I have looked at, this one looked like the best one for the price.
