WONDERFUL KITCHEN!

We got this kitchen for my daughter for Christmas. She is 2 1/2 and absolutely LOVES it! We have children both older and younger than my daughter over often and everyone loves the kitchen. I didn't put it together so I can't comment on that, but Step2 has created a quality product! I love that the pot and the pan make separate noises. The pot actually makes a boiling noise that speeds up then sounds like it's boiling over! The phone also makes noises with the buttons. I love that the sounds aren't very loud either. There is TONS of space in this little kitchen. My parents got my daugther three sets of play food to go with it, I believe totally about 30-45 pieces worth and it all fits in great with room to spare. This kitchen fits nicely in our living room without taking up much space at all, and with so much storage, we can tuck in all her pieces at night and no mess. The design/pattern is very attractive too and just happens to fit in with our living room nicely. I search for a long time for a good kitchen. I didn't want something too big or too small. I also didn't want a kitchen that did everything for her, I wanted my daughter to use her imagination. This one was perfect! We got it on sale before Christmas and had it shipped site-to-store saving the $25ish shipping cost. We are extremely happy this kitchen and look forward to years of good use! **note on the picture- the baskets on top were from the sets of food we bought separately**

Great Kitchen, Few Minor Issues

We got this for our 2 year old daughter for Christmas this year...she loves it, and we're very happy with it. I would suggest buying a kit of food and more dishes, utencils, pots, pans, etc. because 17 is not enough! We wish the microwave and oven made some kind of noise as well...it was one of the first things our daughter tried to push and was disappointed when nothing happened.

Great kitchen, easy assembly!

After reading some reviews and looking at lots of play kitchens, I am so glad we went with this one. It was very easy for "Santa" to put together by himself and between the actual assembly and me putting all the stickers on it took maybe an hour. My daughter is almost 18 months old and it's a little tall for her right now, but she will grow into it and have even more fun. She loves the frying & boiling sounds (and they mercifully shut off after a few seconds). Don't forget the batteries and to buy food to go with it! Great product.

Step 2 Lifestyle Kitchen

We purchased this for our grandchildren. They play with it endlessly. It was easy to assemble, doesn't take up a lot of room and is very sturdy. I spent hours looking at kitchens. This one was definitely a find! The price was right and it has provided hours of fun! The children LOVE the sizzling skillet and the boiling pot. The only thing that we added was play food.

Stimulates creative play

We ordered the kitchen for my son who loves to 'cook'. He spends many hours playing with the kitchen and its accessories. His friends love it as well; it's the first toy they all hover over. They like the doors and drawers. However, it's unstable - the top half could easily fall backwards. We have it against a wall. There are too many stickers representing buttons. Real buttons would have been more engaging. More kitchen noises would have been good to have as well. Regardless, it's still a magnet in our house. Would recommend.

Great product

This is a great kitchen for the value! Any cheaper kitchens are not good quality, and any more expensive ones are just overdone. Very easily put together. My 2 yr old daughter instantly loved it and has not stopped playing with it since we got it. I would highly recommend this kitchen.

Very fun!!

I bought this for my son's 3rd birthday, and he just loves it! He loves to pretend he is cooking like daddy, and this kitchen keeps him out of our way while we're cooking in the real kitchen. Assembly took about 15 minutes, and my husband said it was wasn't hard at all (on the contrary to some of the other reviews on here) All the pieces were there, and I think the boiling and frying noises it makes are super cool! I would recommend this to anyone. I think out of all the kitchens to choose from, this one is the best value, of course they are all too expensive in my opinion.

Cute play kitchen

After looking at several different kitchens, we purchased this one mainly because of the price, but also because we liked the colors & how it would look in our house. The red accents & cherry border are adorable. We have been very happy with the kitchen & our 2 1/2 yr. old daughter loves playing with it. It is a little smaller than some of the other kitchens, but it fits nicely in our house. We didn't feel the bigger kitchens were worth the cost. It is very cute that the phone makes noise & the stove has a boiling sound. It would be nice if the water faucet made sounds, but other than that we are very happy with our purchase.

Great compact durable kitchen

With this kitchen, we upgraded in size from the Little Tikes Side-by-Side kitchen, which served us very well through 2.5 children and was perfect for us for that time. Now, the Step2 Custom Kitchen is great - not too large so still fits nicely in a small play space - but has a few features new to us that we love, e.g. "microwave," "water dispenser," 3 drawers, and 1 cabinet, plus some much-needed counter space. The dish holder above the sink and range is a super use of space and is great for storing the dishes that come with the set, as well as random other dishes we've acquired over the years, such as a tea set. It also has the bells and whistles that kids love, like the grilling sound when a pan is on the range. My only complaint is that the oven could have a shelf inside, instead of just resting pans on the bottom of it, but this is not a big deal at all. I find the best part is the area on the very top of the kitchen, where we can store extras and where my oldest child can put the smaller items so that the baby can't reach them. Overall, we are thrilled with our purchase, and this was a great value!

great and fun

My husband and I bought this product for our 20month old as a Christmas present and she loves it. I know she is probably a little too young to get the concept of it, but that is why I bought it so she could grow into it and it will be something that lasts a while. It is a very cute kitchen and she loves playing with the stove top that lights up and makes sounds. One fun thing I added to the kitchen that it does not come with is a set of the plastic food that you can purchase at Walmart and this Kitchen has plenty of storage to place it all in. My daughter loves to open all of the doors and pull everything out. We love this product so far, hope you do too.
