WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS PRESENT

We purchased this product for our 18 month year old for Christmas. She loves it the burners make sounds, and she loves the phone. The only thing I would change is I wish her microwave made sounds. We bought the plastic food to go with this. But the kitchen comes with two pots and silverware and a few dishes. The Kitchen is not as big as I thought it was, but it worked well with our house it doesn't take up that much space, we are very happy with the way everything turned out.

Missing part but generall what expected

We bought this for my 18 motnh old for Christmas. A friend has the kitchen so I knew what to expect. It did arrive with a missing part - a drawer. I am still watiing to hear from Step 2 about them sending the replacement. It may actually be Wal-Mart's fault and not the manufacturer. But generally, a sturdy product and kids have a lot of fun with it. It does not come with food however - the photo is a little misleading.

A fun modern kitchen for kids

I bought this product for my 2 year old daughter. It is her first kitchen set and she loves it. Assembly was fair...I had to make holes with a screwdriver, where there was already supposed to be a hole. Nice modern kitchen set. Easy to follow instructions. The Decorations are all stickers...i wished the microwave would beep or the oven. It doesn't. The only noise on this thing is the stove top and phone. This product will easily fit into small spaces. I do recommend using a power screwdriver for initial setup. It takes awhile by hand. All in all it is a very good product and durable. It also comes with plates, bowls, cups..etc.. You have to buy the play food separate. Not bad for the money though. Highly recommend.

Exactly What I Expected

On Christmas Eve I purchased the Step2 LifeStyle Custom Kitchen, so I had to wait until my daughter went to sleep before I could put it together. Reading the prior reviews, I knew that it may be a little difficult to put together (because of the screws) but I figured I could easily tackle it. The holes weren't even started in some places so I had to pull out a hammer and nail. It was a bit frustrating at times (more so because it was 2am on Christmas) and I'm sure the neighbors didn't take too kindly to the pounding but it was well worth it! It took about 2 hours to finish. My 3 year old loves it and the accessories (pans, dishes, utensils) were a nice addition. I purchased several food items from another store for about 5 dollars. My only suggestion would be for the manufacturer to pre drill some of the holes. Overall it looks great and should last for awhile. Thanks.

The kitchen is perfect for my two boys, ages 15 months and 3 yrs old. They are both playing with it everyday. My only compliant is while putting it together in the early morning hours of Christmas the product was missing 8 screws so we weren't able to build it completely. So I recommend that you check this well before you intend to put it together so you are not stuck. the hardware package was sealed completely so it was quite a surprise.

Great kitchen at a great price!

Besides the fact that this kitchen was a steal in the price department it also came with a bundle of extra food pieces (too many actually)!. We bought this for our 2 1/2 year old daughter for her "big" Christmas present this year. She loves it. It's just the perfect size and very compact. Took all of about 45 minutes to assemble. Cute & attractive as well! If you are looking for a kitchen for your child but do not want to overspend then this is the one for you! I fully expect my daughter to get at least 2-4 years use out of this toy! Pro's: Easy assembly Con's: Doesn't come with the batteries for the stove piece.

Fun for all ages!!!

We had no idea what to get our 21 month old for christmas. She has plenty of her own toys but prefer's playing w/her 5 yo brothers toys. She has plenty of baby dolls and stuffed things. I didn't want something that made a ton of noise or that she'd stop playing with in 2 months when the newness wore off. She and her brother have been playing with this non stop since christmas day. They like to take turns cooking for eachother. The sounds are parent friendly!!!!!!! cute and interactive enough for kids, quiet enough that even when in the living room they don't drive mommy out of her skull (the only reason I no longer buy fisherprice toys!) This really was the best christmas gift for both my kids!!! My 5 yo hasn't stopped playing with the kitchen long enough to play w/his own gifts. easy to assemble. My husband and I had it together and stickers on within an hour and his power screw driver worked fine. It was especially handy on the long screws for the side attachment. My only advice is to put the stickers on BEFORE you put it together. We didn't and some are a bit crooked. I think it would have been easier for me to get the window and boarder on if it were flat and not put together yet.

Best value for a play kitchen!

I wanted to buy a play kitchen for my 2 year old son that wasn't pink or too gender specific. This kitchen is absolutely the best value, is a great size (not too large) and has great features. My son spends a lot of time opening and closing the drawers, refrigerator, and oven as well as stiring the "boiling pot" on the stove. I put this together myself in about 20 minutes and am so glad that I didn't spend $200 on other plastic kitchens! The plastic is very durable, although it doesn't weigh very much and my son is able to push it across the floor. I repositioned it in a corner which gave him less room to drag it. Overall a great product, especially if you get it on sale!

Good Value

Everything you'd expect from a good company like Step 2. Assembly instructions were easy to follow and complete. Kitchen feels solid once assembled. 2.5 yr old daughter and 3.5 yr old son are getting lots of enjoyment out of it. Considered buying the $150 kitchen that is similar but larger but I'm glad I went this route. For the length of time that they will play with this I'm glad I chose the less expensive one.

Great, Fun, Kitchen

We purchased this kitchen for our 4 year old boy and 21 month old girl and they both love it! I ordered this site to store and it came within 14 days. It was easy to assemble and provides great entertainment. I would recommend you purchase some play food to go along with it and some other accessories. Otherwise it's well worth the money!
