My daughter and I both love this kitchen

My daughter loves all of the drawers and compartments. The realistic "cooking" or "sizzling" noises are great. She makes us all dinner and brings it to us on plates. She is 3 and it keeps here very busy and occupied. My husband and I play with her from time to time. She talks on the phone while cooking and cleaning the dishes. She says that she has a kitchen like mommy. She likes to cook "all by myself" she says.

My daughter loves it

We bought this at christmas for our 14month old Daughter and she LOVES IT. Its a good size, but still great for small places. You will want an electric screwdriver to help with putting the few pieces together, but nothing to major. Overall we were very pleased with this product and so was our daughter this is all she plays with now.

Kitchen reviews

My son loves this kitchen! My only concerns are: 1) the toy phone doesn't work, even with new batteries 2) the knobs covering the screws were not included with in the box. I'm not sure if these issues are true for all the kitchens, or just the one we bought. Merry Christmas!

Great gift for 2 year old +

The Step 2 LifeStyle Custom Kitchen was a birthday gift to my 2 year old granddaughter. I wasn't really sure if she would know what to do with it but since she always "pretended" to cook in the kitchen with pots and pans while I cooked I thought I would give it a try. Con: Took 3 hours to put together and the instructions say you only need a screwdriver, I would agree with some that a power tool would have been better. But that was the only down side. Pro: After all stickers were placed, screws screwed in, pieces locked together, I couldn't help but wish I was 3 again and could play with this myself! My granddaughter lifted the sheet I had the play kitchen covered with and began to push buttons on the microwave, oven, and talked on the phone as if she had been doing it all her life. I couldn't believe my eyes. When my son and I tried to persuade her to open her many other presents she yelled at the top of her lungs, "I cook, I cook!". My son wound up taking the rest of her presents home for her to open later. This play kitchen was a blessing in disguise and gave my granddaughter hours of enjoyment. The lifelike sounds of the pot and pan that were included was one of her favorites. Note: I purchased play food which included fish, steak, eggs, milk, bread, hot dog, hamburger, etc. This proved to be something that allowed my granddaughter to use her imagination in cooking.

a very fun product

Santa got this for my daughter for christmas. I shopped around alot for a kitchen and This one went on sale even more right before christmas. I read the reviews on the product and decided that this would be the one to get. It was very easy to put together and it very cute. My daughter is 4 and loves it. My son is 14 months old and is already trying to play with his sister and the kitchen. I am very happy with the quality and price of this product.

Perfect!

My friends and I got this for a friend's 3 year old daughter for Christmas this year. She couldn't love it more, and I have to say, we had fun playing with it too. The phone sound-effects are cliche, but what can you expect? But the electronic burner sound effects are great! I didn't see it described anywhere on the site, but the two pots and pans the kitchen come with each fit in a little ridge on the burner, and each one makes the burner make a different sound effect: the stock pot makes a boiling sound, that eventually increases and then makes the sound of water boiling over and sizzling on the stove. The frying pan makes sizzling frying noises. It also lights up. The only bad things I can think of about this kitchen are that the microwave and fridge were hard for our youngster to open on her own, though they might loosen with time. And there is hardly any storage for play food or dishes... though I'm sure most play kitchens don't have that either. Otherwise, its a beautiful kitchen and I'm happy that we were able to spoil her with it, at such a good price.

Great Purchase, Exceptional Customer Service

We bought this kitchen for our 23 month old daughter. She loves it! It seems to be constructed of good quality materials and really wasn't that bad to put together (would definitely recommend a cordless drill). We realized halfway through that we were missing a piece and they had it to us in 36 hours. Would definitely buy a step 2 product again!!

my girls love it

My girls got this as a Christmas present & they love it! It's the perfect size for us because I have it set up in our kitchen. That way they can be "cooking" right along side with me :) It was not difficult to put together (about 30 mins). The working phone is great & my girls love that the stove makes real cooking noises (it 'sizzles' & 'boils'). Overall, we're very happy with this kitchen!

Love the kitchen, but we had a difficult time assembling it. The directions said it could be done with one Phillips screwdriver, however we had to go purchase a power drill because there was no way my daughters could get the screws through two layers of plastic with no holes without a power drill. We couldn't get batteries in the burner because our screwdriver was too big for the hole. Half of our decals were from the wrong kitchen and we didn't notice until we had already put on the wrong ones. Disappointed that my granddaughter's only gift from Santa will not work correctly or have the correct decals on Christmas morning.

Fun for boy's too

My son is all boy. He loves rocks, dirt, balls, trains, and cars. I wanted to give him something that would allow him to explore his imagination and engage him in quiet play. Although quiet play still does not exist that is not the fault of the kitchen. All in all, and for the price, it's wonderful. Some of the more expensive ones have more counter space and a beeping microwave (two things that I wish this one had). However, I really can't complain because the price was right. I was worried that the kitchen was pink from the photo on the internet. However, it is a beige color and neutral enough to keep a little boy's father happy. My son plays with this toy at some point everyday. He loves filling cups of pretend water for me to drink. Bottomline: I'd recommend this product.
