Disappointed

Half the parts were missing, there was no replacement at the store. We didnt have time ship back so we had to return it and spent half a DAY finding another one. We finally found one at Target half a tank of gas later! I will never order from walmart online again.

Kids love this!

"Santa" brought this for my three daughters last year, ages 4, 5 & 9. They all LOVE it! They argue over who's cooking vs baking; they love the "hot" burner that allows things to boil in the pan; they are very picky about what belongs in the refrigerator, etc. When I'm in the kitchen cooking and preparing food, they're right there with me. This had come bundled with a baking set, and the eldest got her first Easy Bake oven . . . she's able to use the baking utensils along with her Easy Bake, so we're getting double-duty out of everything. It's well made; was easy to assemble . . . no problems, no complaints! Def recommend this to others.

Fun! Fun! Fun!

We bought this for my daughter's 2nd birthday. She LOVES it and we've been "cooking" non-stop for days. I saw this same product on other websites for nearly double the price. I'm glad I searched Wal-Mart.com before I paid much more. It was easy to put together, but be careful if you use a power screwdriver. It is easy to turn the screws too far and accidentally push through the plastic.

Too small

The pictures for this product make it look alot bigger than it really is. I bought it for my 4 year old daughter for christmas, and I am very disappointed with it. It is geared more for a much smaller child. Doors are all very hard to open, and countertop is warped. Wishing I had spent a little bit more and got a better brand. If your child is older than 3, I wouldn't waste my money on this one.

More information

Just to add to another review: The one sold by Walmart, which has the cherry countertop does not have the microwave or oven keypads. The one sold on the Step2 website comes with the green countertop and does have the electronic microwave and oven keypads. If you buy the one at Walmart you can purchase the replacement keypads on the Step2 website and install them very easily for $23.50 (ship + tax included) I think this is a great kitchen and would be worth buying on Black Friday for $50 and then getting the keypads from Step2.

Good Product, Good Value

Pros: * My 3 year old girl loves it. * Assembles fairly quickly. * Plastic is thick and sturdy. * The included cups and bowls have holes in the bottoms, so the kiddos can't actually put fluids in them. * Two retaining screws can be quickly removed to separate top and bottom sections for (in my case) easier transportation and storage. Cons: * The box is huge. I mentioned the retaining screws above as a good thing because I had to unbox and partially assemble it to take it to the grandparents for Christmas doings, re-assemble it for unwrapping, and re-disassemble it to take it back home, because it would not fit in my generic mid-sized sedan without doing so. * The manufacturer failed to drill four holes for retaining hardware, but you can remedy the situation with a power driver and small drill bit or even a small ice pick (tapping the holes is not necessary). All-in-all, it's a good product for a good price. I expect my daughter will get several years of playtime from it.

Great investment

Bought for daughters 2nd birthday, she absolutely loves it. Have had it for ~1 month and she plays with it everyday. Wasn't sure which accessories came with it so for those who are wondering . . . the 17 pc accessories are 2 plates, 2 bowls, salt, pepper, 2 cups, 2 knives, 2 spoon/forks, boiling pan w/lid, frying pan w/lid, and phone. No food. Bought an 85 pc food set and it fits perfectly.

Sorta Disappointed

My husband and I bought this for my daughter's second birthday. I shopped online a lot and saw a number of kitchens that I thought looked great but when we went to the stores to buy everything was out of stock except for this one and one other that definitely looked cheap. We chose this one since I'm familiar with the company and know that they make quality products. I am not disappointed with the quality. What disappoints is the space, or lack thereof, given for the bins, storage and microwave. For instance the plates provided don't actually fit in the microwave because it is so tiny. The storage bins and drawers are the same, very small. Also, the only counter space provided for setting things down is right in front of the fridge, so the kids have to choose being able to put things down or being able to open the fridge. There were other things, too (sink isn't anything more than a shallow divot, burner sticks up crooked...), all minor, but things that made me wish I had persisted in shopping around and bought something else.

Great Lil' Kitchen!

This play kitchen has met my expectations for my 20 month old daughter and 3 year old son (the 4 month old daughter will be sure to enjoy it someday too!...) It was a gift for both for Christmas, and they both seem to be enjoying it. I ordered extra food from Walmart.com, which is needed because it doesn't come with any food, just a pot, a pan and some utensils, bowls, and plates. I had a hard time deciding between this one (Custom) and the Dream Kitchen, both by Lifestyle. The only things that make noise are the phone and one burner with the Custom one. The Dream one makes a lot more noises and requires a lot more batteries, it's also a little bigger. A friend purchased that one, once I see hers I'll be able to compare a little better. For now, I'm glad I got the Custom one, it fits perfectly in the space I have it and there's enough noise in our house already! Nevermind keeping up with all those batteries... I envision getting lots of years of good use out of this, thanks!

Excellent for Price

I bought this kitchen after looking at other sites and models and after reading all the reviews on this site. I was not disappointed! This kitchen is great for price paid( It was a whole lot more on other sites.) I had it shipped site to store, which was very easy. My son age 4- ( yes, I bought it for a boy!) loves it. It is a very elegant looking kitchen, durable and not girly at all. He is in Pre-school and loves to pretend. I like that the stove burners make sizzling noises. It is not overly large, but is a nice size for one child to play with. I would have liked to see the microwave make sounds and maybe the ice maker on front of the door to make noises or really drop play ice cubes, but for a starter kitchen it is well worth the price. Very satisfied...
