I got this soundbar from Walmart on 9/11/17 and its still going strong today 4/23/20 I have a 8” Pioneer Andrew Jones home subwoofer hooked up to it on my 65” Samsung 4k tv 😎 solid combination

Do NOT buy this product!!!! Really poor design

This VIZIO sound bar quit responding to remote 2 days ago. Started controlling bar with buttons on back -- can't see labels on buttons -- poor design. Initiated blue tooth search by accident and could not regain control without doing a factory reset. We love our VIZIO TVs but this is our second and LAST experience with VIZIO sound bars.

Very good soundbar

Been using this soundbar with my LG 47 inch TV for months. I delivers powerful clear sound. It is also adjustable (bass/treble) and it has two modes (HD and clear volume). I recommend this bar if you do not want extra bass (which would need a subwoofer. I live in an apartment with roommates so I dd not want it to be too loud. If you are looking for an option with subwoofer the 2.1 soundbar has one and it is only like 30 dollars more. I recommend it!

Not what I expected

bought today, will return tomorrow. I will say it is better than my tv alone but the sound I was looking for is not there. I had a Philips soundbar before this one, I think it was much better sound quality wise. Thinking I will go with the home theater system for more sound

Great Value.

I purchased this item on line a few days ago. Easy to hook up. I am 74 but still found it simple. Everything is included. Nothing to buy. Blue tooth is easy and works just fine. This may be it's best feature. Made my tablet sound great all over the house. TV sound is another issue. Sound was flat and could hear an echo. Thought I set it up wrong. Nope. Could be a issue of being compatible with the TV. My TV is a Vizio. Only 1 year old. Would have thought it would be perfect. This is a great deal for $68 if you can get it to work without the echo. I'll take a look after the holidays and see if I can find a more expensive one that will work better.

sound bar problems

I am very disappointed with the Vizio sound bar model s3830w-c0. Right out of the box I could not get the cover off the remote to put batteries in. I called 877-878-4946 for help. After trying everything they could think of they suggested I return the sound bar. I had gotten this for a Christmas gift so returning if would be difficult. I took a knife and pried off the back cover and got the batteries in. But now I wished I returned it because of the other problems I am having with it. 1. When I mute long commercials it goes to sleep. I tried turning off sleep mode by pressing power and volume down for 5 seconds but that did not help. Most annoying. 2. A couple of times it has reset bass and treble settings to what I think must be factory defaults. Most annoying. 3. If I by accident I hit the input or blutooth buttons on the remote it takes a few minutes to get the TV sound back on. Most annoying. I have hooked this to a 42 inch Vizio TV that I just bought. It does improve the sound a lot as the TV has very poor sound quality. So all in all I cannot say I am happy with Vizio products. Can you help me with any of these problems?

Not bad for price but need improvements

Could easily be 5 star with some changes by Vizio. The style and sound really good but some of the features are a pain in neck! If you have it connected to one device only you shouldn't have an issue. It has multiple connection methods so when I try to connect to auxiliary mode it only has flashing lights along the left hand side; roughly 20 total and 2 flash at a time to show mode change but no marking near the lights to show which mode you have entered! I actually started marking it with marker so I can figure out. The other problematic issue is the remote control also causes tv volume to go up and down but sometime make volume go in opposite direction than device. In other words I hit volume down and the speaker goes down but the TV goes upward in volume.

Avoid Vizio

The Vizio supplied remote quit working after about 2 months, and a replacement will cost you roughly $35. If you have Comcast it's almost impossible to get any Vizio product to work with their X1 remote. Vizio's products are both inexpensive and cheap. Inexpensive isn't a bad thing, cheap is. Spend just a bit more on Samsung, and get a far better product.
