Great Sound

This soundbar had an amazing sound for being just a bar and no sub. Can't beat this deal for a TV in a bedroom. Also gread clarity and simple to connect. Iwoulc recommend. Only thing that bothered me was no screeneed to change settings. Other then that this was a great buy.

great for the price

Was a breeze t set up. Attached optical cable from tv to sound bar and had instant great sound. Love the adjustments you can make on bass, treble, etc. Have NOT tested upper volume, but tried it loud enough to be uncomfortable! Would definitely get another.

Very Satisfied!

This is the second sound bar that I purchased. The first one was from another retailer and was of poor quality. This Vizio sound bar is a 1000% improvement! It has several sound options, bass levels, treble, bluetooth, several options for connecting it to your device. I would recommend this to my family and friends.

Performs as advertised

Measure twice & order the correct size . I missed by 2" , too long - placed on end table in front of TV & works great & blends in. Vizo 32" 5 yrs old did not produce sound therefore plugged digtal cable in blueray dvd & it works , must mute tv . Good sound bar for the $$

Surprised That It Was "Recertified" Not NEW

The Vizio SB3820-C6 was delivered today in a plain brown box. It did not have recertified or refurbished on the box. Of course, I was suspect when I opened the box and all the cables and remote were unboxed and together in a plastic bag. It did appear that none of the cables or remote had been used. They were bagged and sealed in the larger plastic bag. When I opened the instruction booklet, there was an additional page tucked between pages. It identified this soundbar as inspected and recertified with a 30 day warranty. That is correct, only a 30 day warranty! Most refurbs carry at least a 90 day warranty. A new Vizio SB3820-C6 carries a full one year warranty. I know this because I purchased one previously for another television. Purchased new, the SB3820-C6 is $85.99 with a full year warranty from virtually every Vizio retailer. Walmart, I assume, does not know that this soundbar they're selling via their website from VM Express is a recertified/refurbished item.

Worth Buying

I recently purchased a new 40" Spectre flat screen and thereafter added this sound bar to go with it. All I can say is...nice!!!! When I play music or watch films through this system, I feel happy to hear richer tones that are beyond the standard fare. I would definitely recommend adding this to your entertainment package. The only tricky part was picking the right connection cable and setting up the system. I had to enlist the help of a male friend with know-how.

Remote sensor kept dying

Had high hopes for the unit based on the 5 star reviews. Initially, after buying this for Christmas it worked for the first month and the sound and features were pretty good for the price. Then the remote died. Being a guy who works in high end electronics, I quickly diagnosed that it was the remote sensor that had died. I let my wife call customer service. She went through the routines and they sent a new remote. It didn't work because it had nothing to talk to and nothing to do with a signal being sent but the one not being received. My wife then took it back to Walmart and did an exchange. She's good with people, I'm good with electronics.That unit had the same issue almost a month to the day of the exchange. In all fairness it really hadn't lasted that long. I think I watched Superbowl on it and maybe had it on three other times before the sensor died again. My wife call Vizio again and I was quite amused by the end of the conversation I heard. We had environment issues ( I guess that was supposed to be flourescent light blocking the infrared signal or some heavy dust from poor housekeeping. I'm not sure what else they might have in mind. They even brought up router interference. That might have some validity if the remote generated any RF signals like a router and not IR light. But I would have already checked into that if that was the case. Nope. Somebody in purchasing bought cheap IR sensors that cost about 50 cents at Radio Shack, but Radio Shack's would work. Finally took it back for a full refund after that phone call. Any customer service operation that blames the customer is not practicing customer service. My advice is to stay away from this product and perhaps all Vizio products, unless you want to experiment and buy them from Walmart who will let you return them. That is customer service. Now I've wasted time and money and need to find a unit that will actually work over the long term. Usually I don't write reviews, but I thought it was important to share this with those who are thinking of buying one, unless you are masochistic and enjoy being convinced it's your fault their product doesn't work.

bundles r great

this sound bar came bundled with the 55 in vizio tv it works great nice sound it was an awesome deal came way sooner than expected the tv and the sound bar were well packaged the boxes were in good shape looks and works great we have had it for 2weeks we are enjoying the vizio sound bar and tv very much thanks wal mart this is a great product

Great sound. Great price.

Very easy to set up. Bought it online at the same time I bought my TV and brought them home the same day. Did some research and read reviews of MANY sound bars through multiple websites and came to the conclusion that this was the cheapest one with the best reviews. I was not disappointed whatsoever. The sound on this thing is spectacular. It plays Blu-Ray movies with super-clear sounds and great bass. It also connects to my phone via Bluetooth so I can play music that way as well. It's an all-around great product. The TV remote even works for the device as well which is great. Highly recommend the device to others. Great buy!

Tuned in at last

It's exactly what my Vizio tv needed.. Now, that they have speakers mounted in the back of the set it's more difficult to hear the sound. I bought the Vizio 38"soundbar which looks great in front of the set and had it hooked up in 10 minutes. One optical wire that got plugged in to the back of the tv (which I had to look for the plug -in that took an extra minute or two) and the other end to the soundbar. Hook up the power chord and you're done. If you don't have sound click the input button and watch the flashing lights on the bar until it finds the right input your tv is using. Also, read the manual for other helpful settings keeping your eye on the bar's lights as you adjust your settings. Hope you like it as much as I do.
