I just bought this sound bar a few days ago and could not be happier. The sound is wonderful - can't beat it for the price. Simple to connect. I have an older TV and can not use an optical cable so I used the orange, digital cable. I am a senior citizen and have a slight hearing impairment. Right now I am listening to bluegrass music from Pandora on my laptop. I can hear every instrument. I especially like the bass quality. Last night I used the sound bar while watching TV. Great sound. I definitely recommend this product.

One of the things that I am impressed with is that even when the sound is low, it STILL sounds good! And I mean across the board... TV, Tablet, Phone, etc. I feel bad for the posters that didn't have a good experience, but I LOVE this sound bar! The bass is good, and you can hear every little thing! My advice is to make sure you have the correct cable. One guy said the "orange" cable worked best (for him), but some TV's (like mine) does not have a "coaxial" (orange) input/output, so what worked best for me was the "optical" connection since that is also what my TV has, and the booklet said that was the "best". If you have problems, the booklet has the answers. At first, my TV and sound bar were BOTH on and made this terrible echo noise, but I fooled around with the sound bar remote, and it started sounding like it should! I received this as a X-mas gift, and I couldn't be more thrilled!! My music sounds AWESOME playing through the bar! I am one happy camper!

I bought the vizio sound bar from a recommendation of a walmart employee. It was a purchase as a Christmas gift to me. I unboxed the item, and found all the necessary cords, and power cord. I didn't give it a 5 star rating because the included directions were kind of vague. I ended up going to youtube to see a live person explain it. I would of liked a led remote. That would have been a lot easier to hook up. The power led light was so small, I didn't even know it was on. I have to admit, the sound is much, much better than the tv speakers. I do recommend this unit. You can also get this same unit with a subwoofer, which is a little more money, but I can buy a subwoofer since it's got a built in plug in for it. I am now enjoying my first ever sound bar.

I tried for 4 hours to get sound from the sound bar and I had help from a professional surround sound installer. I tried every suggestion in the trouble shooting guide and talked to Vizio without any solutions. I still do not know if the problem was with the Vizio sound bar or the Vizio TV.

This sound bar gets a solid 5 stars from me. My husband and I (both retired) needed a new sound system to go along with our newer TV. Neither one of us knows how to properly turn a screw with a screwdriver. My son disconnected the old stereo system and connected this sound bar within minutes. He also fixed our TV so that we now have a full HD picture, not half the screen like it was before (for all of you reading this, the TV should be set at 16:9). This sound bar is easy to install and easy to use. The sound is clear, sharp and maintains a consistent level. My husband no longer has the TV volume cranked up to 70. This sound bar accomplishes what 5 speakers, a sub woofer, and a tuner used to do, and nicely sits at the base of the TV while doing it. I highly recommend this unit.

Great sound and it looks great under the 55" we have!

Vizio Sound Bars are the best and an incredible price tag and value.
