Find your patience first

Whoa, if i’d only known. This is. The. Most. Labor. Intensive. Electronic device ive ever experienced. Every which way you go. Nothing like a tv that we know and keep your credit card handy as you nearly have to pay for it after the trial of course. Totally hate this tv.

Works Great, Small "Channel Order" Problem

Fairly easy to set up, had to go to the Roku website to, "activate" the TV before using it though, works great so far, but after scanning for channels, the channels are all there, but are all, "mixed up," meaning some are, "out of order," as far as the channel numbers go. Instead of going 3, 4, 7.1, 7.2, 7.3, 9.1, 9.2, 9.3, 9.4, 9.5, 13.1, 13.2, 13.3, 13.4, 20.1, 20.2, 20.3, 20.4, etc, as you go through the channels, the channel numbers go 3, 4, 7.1, 7.3, 9.1, 9.2, 9.3, 13.1, 20.1, 7.2, 9.4, 9.5, 13.2, 13.3, 13.4...out of order, or out of sequence, if you know what I mean? I wonder whether they can be, "re-arranged" to be more or less, "in order" so to speak? I discovered pressing the Left arrow button gives me a sort of, "TV guide," and discovered other things, and was watching the NASA TV channel earlier, via Pluto TV, plus watched a couple of movies on the Roku Channel, etc, but mainly purchased the TV because of my other 24-inch TV starting to go out, plus in the living room, watching a 19-inch is slightly small, plus the 32-inch TCL/Roku TV was on sale for a pretty good price, the, "Smart TV" was just, "icing on the cake" so to speak...and for the other guy, when the remote, "eye," flashes, when not pressing the remote button, I think that means that the TV has lost the network connection, but here, I think that it's my Internet mobile hot spot that may be at fault, and not the TV, as the mobile hot spot seems to lose the Internet connection at times, but it usually comes back after a few seconds, to a few minutes, by itself, but I may restart the mobile hot spot, if I'm sort of in a hurry so to speak...Over all, I like it, so far anyway, but have only had it a short time.

HOW GLAD I AM

at first I WAS SCARE of it that I would not be able to operate it, when I did it was wonderful , beautiful picture and coloring. next time will get a larger set . the only thing now is setting up internet service. right now I AM USING ANTENNA SET UP and the reception is very good.

Terrific!

I bought this at a local store. It works great. It doesn't include the AV input cable adapter that the owners manual says is in the box. I'm still getting used to the Roku remote. The volume and mute buttons are on the side right in the way. It is much faster than the Roku 1 I had before hooked up to an antique TV with an antenna and converter box. I actually had my converter box hooked up to this TV and then realized I wasn't using it! The TV has the Roku and converter in it already! I wish it was bigger but it is the only size TV that fits into my entertainment center. I can pick this 32 inch TV up with one hand and it is replacing an old 32 inch TV that weighs a ton. AMAZING!

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

I have had this TV for less than a year, and the picture is black. I can hear everything just fine, no picture. I started having issues with it after only three months, went online to see solutions to the problem it worked for a bit and now nothing. I have tried everything and nothing works. It's the crappiest TV I have ever owned!

junk

I bought this TV from my sister who had had it three months. I could not get it to pair with the Dish remote. Over the last ten days I have spent about ten hours on the phone with Dish technical support people and all they can tell me is that it is a problem with the TV and that I need to call the TCL support for help. I have called them several times and their message says that due to the overwhelming support of a recent promotion that the wait will be at least sixty minutes. I am done trying to get this TV to work. I will be buying a replacement and it will not be a TCL brand.

Worst tv ever purchased

I bought this tv from Wal-Mart in November 2017. Worked ok for a few months and then the trouble started. The picture froze constantly on streaming channels. The tv would shut down in the middle of viewing. I contacted TCL because they don't allow the tv to be returned at a retailer. I was going to take it back anyway but I no longer had the receipt. TCL customer service was good. That's the only positive I have to say. Even though their repair process is frustrating and way more complicated than it should be, they at least acted like they cared about how aggravated I was at the quality of this tv. They require that the tv be sent back to them for repair. Which was a total pain, but I couldn't use the tv, so back it went. It worked for less than a month after I got it back. They asked for me to send it back again. I did. Again, it comes back and only works for a few weeks. I asked for my money back. They declined. I asked for a new tv instead of the obviously defective one I purchased. I was told they couldn't give me a new tv. Then I was told to send the old one BACK AGAIN and that they would send a new one. I was told that the new one would have no limited warranty. Which I thought stunk, but what could I do? I paid hard earned money for a tv I couldn't even use, so I figured no warranty was better than a tv that didn't work. I'm not sure if I actually got a new one or not. It was packaged like a new one. But within three months, the trouble started again. Same issues, plus a few more. Now, I can't even turn the tv off unless I unplug it from the wall. And that's a minor issue compared to all the others. Yes, I know that the tv was cheap and I got what I paid for. None the less, I expected it to last longer than a few months. And expected it to be fixed after sending it for repair. It wasn't even fixed after multiple times of sending it back. I also expected the supposedly new one I received to last longer than a few months. Just not worth the aggravation. Don't make the mistake that I did.

I love the tv itself but not even one out of the 3 that i have gotten has lasted even one year. They all had the same problem and just stopped turning on. Realy disapointing that my living room tv my bedroom tb and my childrens bedroom tvs are all not turning on anymore. Ill never buy a roku tv again

This is the one!

SO easy to set up! The TV was up and on in just a matter of minutes. Legs easily attached and the on screen instructions were simple enough for anyone to follow. Be sure to download the Roku app on your phones to have extras remotes because the remote that comes with the TV is small. The only thing I don't like are the side buttons on the remote to control the volume. It is easy to accidentally mute the TV. I like the remote on my phone better. This TV was purchased for our kitchen counter and the 32' size is perfect. There is no wasted space around the TV so the picture is nearly 32'. If you don't have a large counter, I would go with a smaller TV. If you have any problems, just Google your question/problem and the answer will pop up. There are even You Tube videos for those who need visuals. Great purchase! I would buy this TV again.

OK TV, Crappy Remote, app functionality

IT is ok for the money, but, we have this 32 and a 49. The TVs are OK but the remotes are crap. not only in size and buttons, etc. but, functionality. The TV settings are unavailable while running some apps, even the home screen because the settings are accessed by using the Asterisk button, which is also used for most functions the the apps, So cannot be used for TV control. sleep timer, etc
