This bacon is exceptionally delicious. Instead of the paper thin slices of the "original" fully cooked, these slices are nice and thick, and the smoked flavor is prominent and awesome. Unfortunately, this product has recently become nearly impossible to get in my Gastonia, NC, Sam's, and when it is available, the price has skyrocketed. Checking my prior purchases, in Dec 2020, it was $13.98. In April 2021 it was $17.98. Now (late Aug 2021) it's a whopping $22.84 per pkg. I'm guessing this is due to pandemic-related supply issues and hope availability will improve and that it will again be reasonably priced since this is one of our most frequently purchased and favorite items from Sam's. Bottom line is that if you can find and afford it, you won't be disappointed. About 3 mins in the oven at 400-425° or about 30 seconds atop a folded paper towel in the microwave, and you've got some of the tastiest bacon around.

Our family has enjoyed this thick cut precooked bacon since our Sam's Club started carrying it. We bought it throughout the pandemic up to $21 a package. NOW IT IS PAPER-THIN! If we wanted paper thin, why would we be buying "THICK CUT"? We cannot pick up a piece without it crumbling all over the place. If I want bacon bits, fine; but I want THICK cut bacon. Unless it changes back, we will NOT buy any more.

Wonderful bacon for quick home use. Heat it in microwave withsome paper toweling and it is thick, crisp, and delicious, without the usual cup of grease mess you get with uncooked bacon. The thin pre-cooked bacon is nowhere near as good as this one was. What a shame Sam's discontinued this product! Please bring this one or similar back!

I hesitated buying this bacon because at the price, it works out to just a few cents shy of $26/lb. I thought that was an outrageous amount to pay for bacon. Then I broke down what I was paying per pound for the "fully cooked" OM bacon I've been buying at the supermarket for 10+ years. That bacon was originally packaged like this, where you could see some of what is inside the package, but some time ago they closed up the box. In the past couple of years, we have opened the box to find very black strips of moldy bacon at least 4 times, so we switched to buying the grocery store brand. That is sliced so thin it is crazy, and BOTH are far from being "fully cooked"- so far that it closer to being "fully raw". But placed between a few sheet of paper toweling and nuked for a minute or two would yield nice, crispy bacon. Usually. My husband decided to take a risk on this after once again opening a box of disgusting black bacon. I AM SO GLAD HE DID. This bacon is closer to being fully cooked, the strips are noticeably thicker, and the taste... well it is beyond comparison. We have banned Mr. Mayer's from making another appearance in our home.

This is the BEST pre-cooked bacon. I love the thick cut so much better than regular. My store has been out of stock for 3 weeks now and I'm so upset! I'm doing Keto and this is a staple I need to have.
