This is a cute little cottage, it assembles pretty easily, but is put together with several screws so make sure you assemble it in the location it will be staying in for a while. Ours is now in the middle of the living room and will be too big to fit through any door without dis-assembling. But, It is a very cute toy for small children. Looks like it would be easy to hose off outdoors if needed, but wondering if it will collect water in the floor after a blowing rain. We will have to wait and see how well it wears and weathers.

I'm not great at putting anything together but this only took 1 hour and 5 min! My kids love this play house. They're playing all day every day and it's amazing. The only thing I didn't like was that there weren't holes to put the screws in. You have to screw through the marks on the plastic. But otherwise it's amazing and I'm so glad we got this

Fun for little ones. Love doorbell and going in and out. Would be nice if it came with some play household accessories. Height is adequate for a taller than average 2 1/2 year old. Very easy to put together, especially if using a drill to make small pilot holes, and also to install screws.

I purchased this for our granddaughter's first birthday. She loves it. She toddled right into it and would not come out. She would repeatedly open and close the windows and walk from one end to the other, sitting on the little benches and then talking on the phone. I know she will enjoy it for many years. It is well made and was easy to put together. It arrived at the store for pick-up much earlier than anticipated.

Great house for the money my 2 year old loves it she has never been ua attached from me for so long it's great having something that really gets her attention we have set it up in her room for now til the warmer weather and now I think I may leave it there she loves it!!!!

I am so glad to have chosen the Step2 Naturally Playful Neat & Tidy Cottage! It is just right in every way! It's the perfect size, not too small and not too big. My son is almost 3 years old and he LOVES it! My 5 year old nephew loves it, my one year old niece and all of my sons friends that have been in it! The kids seem to love ringing the bell, putting mail through the mail slot, opening and closing the shutters, sitting in the built in seats and the small play kitchen. It keeps them super busy and entertained. They usually fit about 3 kids inside at a time, which works fine because they are always going in and out. The assembly was quite easy- only took me about an hour straight. There were a few screws I needed my husband to help with because there weren't pre-drilled holes. But overall was simple to put together- directions easy to follow! The drainage holes in the bottom are great. There's never any water in it! I highly recommend this playhouse!

I am very pleased with this playhouse! It's sturdy, easy to put together, and huge for a 21 month-old. The true test, though, is that it's very fun for my child! She loves the door and doorbell best. The phone is also a hit, even though it just goes on and off the wall. She loves to shout "peekaboo!" through the windows and sit on the little seats. It would have been nice if it had come with play mail to put through the slot, but my hubby and are going to make some from the ginormous box it came in. I was thankful we had a van when I went to the store for pick up. Make sure you are prepared if you do the same. Our other car is a Vibe & I don't the box would have fit in there. The pieces might have if removed from the box, but it would be a risk. I am very impressed with this one being such a great price and a more deluxe model than much more expensive playhouses. We paired it with the Panda Climber slide, and placed them atop the Step 2 playmats since they're outside on tile. I'm grateful to be able to provide my growing baby so much fun under the shade of our patio as it is much too hot to use the regular playgrounds for 75% of the year.

Build quality is acceptable, but just a little shy of what I expected for a Step2 product. Assembly is generally quick and easy. Although cottage is rated for up to 8 years, I seriously doubt any 8-year old would meet the 35-lb. per child weight limit listed in the instructions, nor would they be likely to play in it for any length of time due to it's smallish dimensions.
