A nice addition
This stove was a nice addition to our new kitchen. In general it has lived up to all of our expectations. There is not much that we think needs improvement. We do have a comment about the clock. We would like to turn it off at night. While we love the bright display at night when the lights are off it is beyond brilliant. Samsung needs to add the ability to turn it down or off. We have a full kitchen of Samsung products so this clock is not needed and is distracting after bedtime.
Excellent Choice!
I bought this range less than a month ago and I absolutely love it! Not only does it look beautiful, it is very functional. I have cooked using both ovens and the stove-top at the same time. What a time saver. We actually have dinner much earlier than we used to. Now I'm showing my teenager how to use the ovens. We are trying out new features all the time. Great buy! Great price.
Disappointed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let's start with the positive. We love the ability to bake two separate things or use the full oven. We also loved the color. We bought this stove 2 years ago. Within the 1st year, 2 knobs fell off and the latch for the full door gets stuck. So, if I want to open the full oven, I must open the half oven then stick an object in the latch to open the full door. Samsung sent replacements for the 2 knobs but 2 more have broken off and we are outside of the 1yr warranty window. Additionally, at about 1.5 yrs, the digital display lost a few segments, so part of the 5, 8 and some other numbers are missing. We are not happy with our purchase outside of the fact that it was pretty for 2 years and it technically works. Now, the black stainless is also peeling off, that was a pretty surprising discovery.
We value your opinion and appreciate you going over your concern. I have an idea that may help, but it is not conventional, but you can try using Range Knob covers to go over them to help protect them. You can find them at Samsung.com. ^Pat
Love the dual oven
I love the oven features but the top of the stove is a little small for big pots
Great fetures
I got this new stove a few months ago & I love it!
Very poor quality product
i bought this product based on the features, and because i bought a microwave convection oven that has been a gem. however, this gas range has been awful. the first thing is the knobs are very poor quality. i have had to replace 3 knobs within the first year or so of purchase, and of course shortly after warrant. the display panel started to not display properly from steam or heat that comes from the oven. my wife constantly complains that the oven never gets to the set temperature to which we have verified with thermometers. but more recently, the self cleaning feature has stopped working due to an issue that, after googling, seems to be a very common flaw.
Hello Marlon, Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate you letting us know that you replaced the knobs in your Samsung range three times in the first year; the display panel started not to display correctly, had a temperature issue, and the self-cleaning feature stopped working. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you. It's not the experience we want you to have with one of our products, and we'll be glad to look for other options for you. Overall works well
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall I like this range. Took awhile to digest the manual but I eventually got used to how the range works. So far, about a month in, it works well There are a few things that can be improved. I did not pay enough attention to the BTU output. The burners are significantly less powerful than the competition. I believe, for example, the main burner is 16,000 BTUs whereas other brands are 19,000. It takes significantly longer to boil things. Not a big issue but noticeable. The oven also takes a long time to reach the temperature setting. The top grates should be denser. Just too much open space for pots to tip over. Lastly, the finish just doesn't clean well. Streaks and smudges. But overall it seems to be easy to use now and well built. The real telling is a year from now.
A working oven
the display started acting not right after the first year. it flashes the timer and other lights when the oven is on. now the display is starting to disappear. the top part of the oven cooks horribly. i only use the bottom half. really disappointed in this. will not buy another samsung oven.
Thank you for alerting us of this symptom. It sounds like this may be an error code. Have you already tried power resetting the range? If you have, service would be the next best option. You can find one in the link below. Thank you for your feedback! ^Pat https://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/locations/
Samsung sets the bar
I was excited to review this duo flex oven. There's a divider inside the oven that keeps the set temperature on both sides of the oven. You can cook two things at different temperatures at the same time. You can cook your dinner and dessert at the same time. The wifi connection let's you set controls on your phone via the smart things app. It also sends notifications to your Samsung TV to let you know when your oven is preheated and when your food is cooked. There's two timers for both separate ones. And yes you can use the full oven for bigger jobs. The top gas burners have 15k BTUs and 16k BTUs for everything you want to cook from boiling to searing. Samsung has set the bar with this oven.
Could be better
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the range, But there are a couple of shortcomings. The grids over the burners form a horizontal/vertical cross. Pots do not sit securely on the grids unless I carefully position the handle directly on one of the bars of the cross. A much better design would have been a star formation so the pots would be supported at six or eight points rather than just four. I was excited to get the virtual double oven, but the top half only has a convection oven. To use the regular oven , I have to use the entire oven, not the upper or lower oven only. I wish I had known this before purchasing. I would have chosen a different range. Do not that the fifth burner, in the center, is not designed to use with a griddle. It's just a small around burner rather than an elongated burner for grilling pancakes, etc. I highly recommend Samsung products, but this particular range has some design flaws, in my opinion.
